Like 90% of americans are wearing masks, and overall just about every state is suffering. Red, blue, dumb, smart, liberal, conservative. I know its fun to poke at whatever side you dislike, but its certainly a collective effort on all sides to spread the shit around. 2020 protests and riots. Trump rallies. Thanksgiving/christmas/new year holidays.

Only way you could make it worse would be to force everyone to spit in each others mouths.

^ I live in redneckville and that is what I see all the time. They look at you askance for wearing a mask. I can also say the local white maskless gathering place has to shut down on a regular basis. They just won’t learn. Other local joints have been able to keep open by doing the social distance/limiting customers thing.

    Those damn whites again

For real tho, this is all just a blame game and I shudder to think what would actually happen if a seriously bad virus ever got loose.

For example, if whites dont wear masks and social distance as much as other races, when they are the majority of the population, then it stands to reason that they would be the highest demographic of covid deaths.

    Yet they aren't.

Kitty I bet if you rode through your local hood you likely wouldnt be seeing many masks either, just like in redneckville.

Nope. The Blacks here are scared to death of COVID.

White people don’t live in multigenerational homes or work in places where covid spreads as easily.

^ Ha. You have no idea then the city I go in to to shop. I can sit in the line at the CVS drive through down into a very rough area. They wear masks! Probably helps when the rob the service station, too.

Well MK in the UK the sad fact is a lack of education coupled with misinformation amongst their communities means that large chunks of the so called BAME population are refusing the vaccination, numbers as low a 46% take up rates. A combination of social media and entrenched beliefs are i fear going to contribute to yet higher mortality rates.

It's not "whites". It's dumb whites. The sort of whites that hate blacks and voted for the bald orange loser.

There are lots of sensible white people that want this pandemic to end rather than whinge about their "freedumb".

Unfortunately they're not. The trumpanzees represent a lot of more the population than that. Sadly they breed.

No, it doesn't stand to reason at all. BAME groups are more susceptible to COVID, and they live in areas and work in jobs where measures to contain the virus, particularly social distancing, are more difficult to follow.

Dunno what the BAME acronym means, but thats not exactly true at all. African Americans make up a tiny portion of the population, and white people do the exact same jobs.

Bottom line is that they have certain behaviors (just like white people) that contribute to the spread.

Wearing a mask doest do much when you and your homie are drinking from the same bottle of mad dog, for example, or when Bobby and Monica are sharing their joint.

This is the states were talking about here, its fucked up. This hole mask/race thing is literally retarded.

Slick, the facts just don't support what you are saying. Of course white people generally do jobs where social distancing is easier.

There are plenty of individuals of whom that is not true, but generally throughout the country these damned inconvenient facts differ from your contentions.

    It's that simple.

I don't know what you mean when you say 'This whole masks/race thing is retarded' Your point about them not making any difference if people are doing other obviously stupid things is...kinda obvious though.

However if they're sharing drinks and joints then they won't be wearing masks in any case, unless they have highly versatile arseholes or something.

Shopping at Win Dixie a few weeks ago, when I tried to explain it to the cashier , thinking that it was funny. she would not get it.
She brought out the calculator, trying to figure it out. I left before her head exploded

Right. That CVS is in the “hood.” Perhaps you could consider the whole city the “hood.”

Macon, Georgia - The racial makeup of the city was 67.94% African American, 28.56% White, 0.02% Native American, 0.65% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 0.46% from other races, and 0.77% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.48% of the population.

Will also add, these Blacks are very much American, not recent immigrants, stigils.

I said "this whole mask/race thing is literally retarded"

I haven't seen any facts. Ive seen finger-pointing and blame and bias largely along political lines when clearly in the USA theres more to it than just wearing a mask.

I can get on board with certain demographics being more at risk for catching the virus, but honestly theres more poor white people doing shit jobs than there are black people and thats just a matter of sheer numbers.

It appears to me you guys want the spread of covid to be about a certain portion of the white population doing most the spreading, while other demographics aren't because... reasons.

I dont buy into that. Everyone is spreading the virus.

Also appears to me you guys put an illogical amount of believe in a cloth mask. I wear a FFP3 mask when traveling and practically bathe in alcohol the whole time, so Im no anti masker.

Yes because Ive never been to Georgia before...

The point im trying (and clearly failing) make is not what the adult, daytime, responsible, walking around population is doing, but what the nighttime, non-adult, hood population is doing.

No more retarded than blaming Democratic governors for having a high COVID rates in their states when their states were the first to get hit before we even knew what was going on.

    Definitely too early for champagne.

US Covid-19 numbers may be slowing but experts project tens of thousands more deaths in next 3 months

Covid-19 trends may be encouraging in recent weeks -- but a new forecast offered a grim reminder the US is not in the clear.

More than 497,500 Americans have died of Covid-19.

Another 91,000 Americans are projected to lose their life to the virus by June 1, the latest forecast from the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation shows.

That devastating projection comes as plummeting Covid-19 numbers across the US have prompted several local and state leaders to loosen restrictions -- at a time experts warn is critical to remain cautious and keep practicing safety measures.

No, thats not retarded at all. Finger-pointing at fellow citizens is dumb, unproductive, and just what politicians want.

There are ALOT of reasons why democratic governors shoulder tons of blame for covid rates. Saying that they were the first to get hit "before we even knew what was going on" is an atrocious cop-out clearly meant to absolve them of their failures and defend them.

In fact, democrat governors (Cuomo) can be largely blamed (if you wanted to get stupid and political) for the spread of covid just as much, or even more than Trump, for example.

The whole world watched as europe was getting wrecked. Everyone in the states downplayed the threat. Trump. Pelosi. Cuomo. Desantis. Schumer. Republicans and Democrats.

Then NY got hit, and Cuomo single handedly did everything possible to do the polar opposite anything Trump or his admin said or suggested, avoided science and reason, threatened to sue neighboring states for wanting to quarantine NY arrivals, killed thousands of his states most venerable population, and seeded the rest of the USA with the shit - all the while calling it the "European Virus" and blaming everyone but himself.

Plenty of blame to go around.

What so you have the Lamborghini of masks and you're assuming I sport a Hyundai?

Looks like you just took TD oneupmanship into a whole new area.

I never mentioned any particular type of mask and I'm pretty sure nobody else did either.

I was just trying to say im not an anti-masker, but I dont place any confidence in a cloth mask to protect myself or others.
