-> European flights available, UK at home quarantine - allegedly monitored. Return paperwork from Thai UK embassy simple, ample medical testing sites available.

-> Return flights to Thailand available. Airlines have the effective return and manageable requirements in place. 10 day Thai 5* hotel quarantine.

More requirements than usual, yes, accessible journeys, yes.

Looking at the numbers, the 50 millionth case will probably arrive by the end of the week.

I have to admit I'm glad I live in New Zealand . . . what's it like where you are, Harry? One hears little about the ME in this regard and I have no idea where you are in that area.

We opened up a small branch office in Riyadh end of last year, run by our Egyptian partner (second generation SA-born, but can't get SA citizenship) and her mother had c-19 . . . recovered.

It's OK in places. My mate who went through all the rigmarole of getting a Thailand flight and visa lasted three months there before Saudi opened up and summoned him back to work. Was back in the magic kingdom a week before he got the 'rona. Shitty weekend by the sound of it, but no hospitalisation. Said he feels very weak, but the nasty symptoms were gone in three days.

One week . . . that sucks, but at least he seems to have recovered. Lucky also in that SA has good medical facilities. Thanks

Dan Andrews did of course accept ultimate responsibility for the covid crisis in victoria - he is the leader of the state and that is what real leaders do

but beyond that rhetoric , if you were really interested you would have examined the situation and come with another theory not pushing murdochs and his press ravaging a labour leader who is popular with his voters.

let us think that the vic police were asked if they would manage the security of the incoming quarantine hotels and they said like fcuk we want to be involved , so it was then delegated by some incompetent in the public service on a +200k salary to some shonky security companies that they have always used when they need some security theatre.

    ruby princess anyone ?

but , as was seen by pardon me mrs arden , when the bureaucrats are dickheads , replace them with an ex military man who is not afraid to tell them they are useless and to fcuk off out of the way and things will be done as per the rules so as the common fcutard is kept under control.

I think that what should have happened was that scotty from marketing should have immediately swung the military into action to create processes to safely funnel the incoming plaguerats through testing and quarantine and placed them far from the temptations of sneaking out for a quick starbucks

As you all know... I am the major authority on this thread; turning the sausage man into the pathetic floor fluff and smeg that he aims to be. But, with time and extended context, one begins to wonder if the pro-life approach is better than the pro-society approach.

I have no idea (there's an open goal for you Mr Sausage), but our experts are clearly over-paid fukwits...

the North West of England is fooked....

North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) has declared a major incident due to high demand.
The ambulance service said it was 'exceptionally busy' and has told people to expect delays.
NWAS Tweeted tonight: "We are exceptionally busy this evening. Unfortunately there will be delays and we urge you not to call back to ask how long we will be. Please only ring 999 for life threatening emergencies."
NWAS Unison added: "Major Incident Declared by NWAS. We have agreed to suspend the Meal Break Policy in line with the agreement that we have with the Trust between 5pm and 7pm. If you have any problems please speak to EOC."

Schools have always been the biggest spreaders of viruses and they're still open. Meanwhile many working places within industry are closed.

Time to reassess how the virus spreads so quickly.

Might be locking down here again, as it is normal flu season and I guess they are worried it would be hard to tell between an outbreak of flu and COIVD-19. All in all, a super gloomy end to the day. I fucking hated online teaching. Humans are not supposed to socially distance, and the social emotional toll is something of concern

Different strokes for different folks. Primarily based on age, access to privacy and social behaviour.

They are currently on the 8th place of countries by most deaths per million citizens but will within a weeks time pass Ecuador and take the 7th place.
A month later they have prolly overtaken both Chile and Bolivia and gone to the 5th place.
Now on 7th place, after having overtaken Ecuador.
If they continue with their 1000 daily deaths per million population then they will not only pass Chile and Bolivia but also Brazil before end of this month.

you are not grasping what seems to be the common mindset

a lock down is announced , so on the last night before everyone heads out - why ? is it because it is their last chance to get a dose ? or is it because they believe nothing will happen to them ?

as the nazis approached paris , would it also have been a good idea to get out and party , or a better idea to bolt yourself in the cellar with an ample supply of onions ?

this retardedness seems to be common across all countries , even those with apparently educated populations with access to internet news and information

UK has gone up to nearly 500 deaths in a day. That's dreadful and again it's down to telling people about lockdowns in the future. Not sure if that is to get them to bulk buy beforehand but it's crazy.

If numbers have got out of control then lockdown NOW not tomorrow or next week but immediately.

It's going to be a long winter...

That should of course only been 1000 daily deaths (not per million population)

The United States recorded more than 100,000 new coronavirus infections in a single day for the first time on Wednesday as the nation waited to learn the results of a presidential election carried out in the shadow of a pandemic.
