My rental is in the southwest, I offered to lower the rent about 3 months ago via the manager because they have been there since 2006. He said they are still both working and the rent is cheap already. I for one would not kick them out, I will cut the rent in half if need be. But i own the property, so easy for me to say.

204,000 dead in the U.S. now.
They've obviously been testing too much.

Is there some place to view official figures for virus deaths vs normal deaths month by month and by country through the year?

It's a good question because occasionally newspapers publish graphs of monthly UK registered deaths compared to the 5-year rolling average deaths. The numbers are held by the Office of National Statistics and are published.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Office for National Statistics

I became interested earlier this year when the UK government was quoting about 40K Covid-related deaths but the total ytd deaths at the same time was about 65K above the rolling average. The government seems anxious not to highlight these numbers.

There are almost certainly other deaths due to people not being able to get treatment for other conditions, cancer, cardiac, etc.

Yes, but that's a side issue and with heaps of methodological flaws with no clear standards to define virus deaths, or verification.

Main point is that in order to present a more accurate picture of deaths by the virus, against deaths with the virus, figures should compare normal deaths over the same periods, and by country. Not like this is a difficult task, normal deaths are already known for most countries.

That too, and also other indirect deaths resulting from the virus, things like financial hardship, social change, heightened domestic violence, suicide, etc. It would still not give the full picture, but more data is better than less.

It's common knowledge that the full extent of deaths and infections won't really be known for a long time.

Coroners are paid from public taxes. They have a legally binding obligation for the accurate recording of cause of death. If Covid Is the cause, or only associated with the death, the easy thing to do is record it as Covid, and move on to the next corpse. If they were to be reminded of their legal obligation, and the penalty for ignoring or abusing that legal obligation, I’m sure they would do their job properly, rather than risk a lengthy jail sentence, and /or a hefty fine. As doctors, they can also be struck off and denied work in the medical profession.

There have been reports that deaths have been attributed to Covid due to a positive test rather then as the actual cause of death. All of this rationalisation of the data will come later. It's not about coroners breaking the law.

Over 5,000 Russians have taken world’s first Covid-19 vaccine, none have reported serious side effects

Trials of Russia’s Sputnik V, the world’s first registered vaccine against Covid-19, are going well, and giving hope of a return to normality. That's according to a statement from the ministry of health in Moscow.

More than 5,000 volunteers have received the formula, and there have been no severe side effects, officials announced on Monday. Trials are currently in the third, and final, stage.

“To date, more than 5,000 citizens have been vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine,”read a statement by the ministry, quoting Alexander Gintsburg, the head of Moscow's Gamaleya Institute for Epidemiology and Microbiology, which created the formula. “Cases of significant undesirable and adverse reactions, other than the expected ones, have not been recorded.”

According to Gintsburg, the anticipated side effects are a short-term increase in temperature as well as minor pain at the location of the injection.

Sputnik V’s final trial phase will see 40,000 Muscovites vaccinated. Last week, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said that 60,000 residents of the capital had volunteered to participate in the program, 50 percent more than were needed. As part of the trial, volunteers are told to download a mobile application, which they can use to report symptoms and get quick access to medical professionals.

On August 11, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin announced that the country had registered the world's first Covid-19 vaccine, due to be available to the general public from January 2021.

The vaccine has been criticized by some Western countries for supposed unsafe rapid development and improper testing. However, at the start of September, respected British medical journal The Lancet published a study prepared by the developers of Sputnik V, showing it to be 100 percent effective, producing antibodies in all 76
    participants of early-stage trials.

It appears that Pattaya is the experimental destination.

Thailand to slowly restart tourism with flight from China

    By Panarat Thepgumpanat, Chayut Setboonsarng

"Thailand will receive its first foreign vacationers when a flight from China arrives next week, marking the gradual restart of a vital tourism sector battered by coronavirus travel curbs, a senior official said on Tuesday.

The first flight will have about 120 tourists from Guangzhou, flying directly to the resort island of Phuket, Tourism Authority of Thailand governor Yuthasak Supasorn told Reuters.

Thailand has kept coronavirus infections low with just 3,559 cases and 59 deaths, but its economy has taken a hit from a ban on foreign visitors since April and is expected to contract 8.5% this year.

Government spokeswoman Traisulee Traisoranakul expects 1,200 tourists in the first month, generating about 1 billion baht ($31.55 million) in revenue and 12.4 billion baht over one year, drawing in 14,400 tourists.

Nationalities permitted to enter will be from countries deemed low risk by the government, which will keep tabs on them.

“We are not opening the country, we are limiting the number of entries and will manage with wrist bands, apps to follow them,” Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha told reporters.

The government predicts just 6.7 million foreign visitors this year after a record 39.8 million in 2019, whose spending made up about 11.4% of GDP, or 1.93 trillion baht.

Thailand in January was the first country outside of China to detect the coronavirus, in a visitor from Wuhan.

“Tourists will be on a long stay visa, starting Oct. 8 and will stay in alternative state quarantine for 14 days,” Yuthasak said.

Visitors need health insurance and a negative coronavirus test 72 hours before travelling and will be tested twice in quarantine.

“Thailand’s protection system can prevent a second wave,” government spokeswoman Traisulee said.

“We have prevented local transmission for 100 days before,” she said, adding that had made Thailand attractive for visitors wanting to avoid infections."

WHO still has no data about coronavirus origin

    28 Sep, 15:06

"Hans Henri Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, said in an interview with TASS that this matter is being studied by the Chinese experts, and the WHO has been invited.

he World Health Organization (WHO) so far has no complete data on the coronavirus origins, whether it is natural or not, studies continues, Hans Henri Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, said in an interview with TASS.
According to Kluge, this matter is being studied by the Chinese experts, and the WHO has been invited. "So this is ongoing and this is very important of course to find out. But I can say nothing more because this is ongoing and I don’t want to jeorpardize that very-very important process. The most important for this is we are a part of this," he said.

Touching on a possibility of a new pandemic, he noted, "The question is when. Because this one we also predicted and still we were caught off guard."

"So, the lesson there is not so much whether we will have another pandemic, but how to be better prepared," he stressed."

Putin Plans to Visit Seoul After Being Inoculated With Russian COVID-19 Vaccine, Moon's Office Says

"Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his readiness to visit South Korea after getting vaccinated against COVID-19, the administration of the South Korean president said on Monday.

"I will come to South Korea ... I will personally take the Russian vaccine and go," Putin said in response to Moon's invitation to visit Seoul, as quoted by the South Korean presidential office.

According to the administration, the South Korean president praised the active cooperation of the two countries in shipbuilding and other areas.

Moon also called on his Russian counterpart to make joint efforts to achieve early results in the negotiations on the free trade in services and investments agreement, in the creation of a specialized industrial zone for South Korean enterprises in Primorsky Territory, and in other bilateral projects.

Earlier in the day, Putin and his South Korean counterpart, Moon Jae-in, held a phone conversation and exchanged congratulations on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Russian-South Korean diplomatic relations, which is celebrated on September 30."

Sorry, but flawed data stating Covid as the cause, when the presence of antibodies defines the cause is quite simply, wrong.
The actual cause of death is not being recorded, simply because Covid is present, and the simple option for coroners will create false and misleading data.

What's the question here, it's not that hard.

Did the Wuhan Virus come from the Wuhan Lab or the Wuhan market?

That's why they will go back and collate and compare everything at a later date.

Remember that in some areas they didn't even have enough room to store the bodies, they were dying so quickly.

My point is, if they use Covid as the cause of death, other factors will not be available for the purpose of future data.
A comparison of previous recorded causes of death for other types of influenza strains is all they may have! Too late then to remind coroners of their statutory legal obligations to record the correct cause of death.
Most corpses will be cremated for obvious reasons. That means the sources for future data comparison will no longer be available.
I am beginning to question the government motives for painting Covid as the wicked, and unexpected cause of future global economic collapse?

I read an article a while back, sorry no link, that said some coroner's didn't have covid testing kits for autopsies and could only write cause of death as pneumonia.
