The dumb Republican arsehole that didn't know Covid could be spread by people who don't have symptoms has now decided to open beaches to the public.

Fucking retarded the lot of them.

For the first time in recent memory, tourist-dependent Tybee Island, Ga., was trying its best to keep visitors away. The small barrier island shuttered its beaches on March 20 out of fear that out-of-town visitors could bring the novel coronavirus to a community with an aging population and no hospital and clog the single two-lane highway to the mainland. Other coastal Georgia communities followed, closing hotels and motels and banning short-term rentals.

But those precautions were abruptly scrapped on Thursday, when Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp (R) enraged local leaders by reopening all the state’s beaches.

“As the Pentagon ordered 100,000 body bags to store the corpses of Americans killed by the Coronavirus, Governor Brian Kemp dictated that Georgia beaches must reopen, and declared any decision makers who refused to follow these orders would face prison and/or fines,” Tybee Island Mayor Shirley Sessions wrote in a furious denunciation on Saturday, referencing a request that the Federal Emergency Management Agency made last week to the Defense Department. “The health of our residents, staff and visitors are being put at risk and we will pursue legal avenues to overturn his reckless mandate.”

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola's mother, Dolors Sala Carrio, has died aged 82 in Barcelona after contracting coronavirus.

"Everyone associated with the club sends their most heartfelt sympathy at this most distressing time to Pep, his family and all their friends," said Manchester City on social media.

Monday's increase of 637 coronavirus deaths means 13,055 have died in Spain.

Last month, Guardiola donated 1m euros (£920,000) to help fight the outbreak.

The money will be used to purchase medical equipment and protective material for staff involved in treating those admitted to hospital.

Barcelona is in Catalonia, which is one of the areas in Spain with the most concentrated number of cases.

Manchester United posted on social media to say the club was "saddened to hear this terrible news", adding: "We send our heartfelt condolences to Pep and his family."

Spaniard Guardiola, 49, has been in charge of Manchester City since July 2016 after spells as manager of Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

La Liga side Barcelona posted on Twitter: "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dolors Sala during this difficult time, and we would like to express our most heartfelt condolences, especially to Pep Guardiola, his family and his friends."

You have to wonder why they ordered the chinky shit in the first place.

The UK government’s new testing chief has admitted that none of the 3.5 million antibody tests ordered from China are fit for widespread use.

Professor John Newton, who was appointed by health secretary Matt Hancock to oversee testing, reportedly said the tests were only able to identify immunity in people who had been severely sick with
    coronavirus.

The tests did not pass the evaluation stage, and he was quoted by The Times as saying they were “not good enough to be worth rolling out in very large scale”.

@harry - thanks for the article about the trump supporter & covid denier. She died of kidney failure & septic shock = she tested positive for the virus.

I couldn't help but notice that both she & her husnand were both overweight (or obese).

How does this work, and if as some critics suggest it doesn't then how should it work?

Self-isolate is clear, you have no symptoms and stay away from others to keep it that way.

Quarantine is also self explanatory, if you have symptoms or are at an advanced stage, in you go. But in where? - some seem to go into a hospital or other facility while others are advised to self-quarantine at home under their own resources, which leads to other issues but that's for later.

This means people with worse than mild symptoms are effectively booted from the system, though their contact details may or not be recorded for follow ups; no problem with this, the system is under stress and cannot cope with the deluge so priorities must rule, but who decides, who monitors them, is it manual or remote monitoring, at what stage are these home quarantines admitted into hospital, or given the all clear and removed from further action?

Meanwhile hospitals can't be built fast enough, and fill soon after their doors open for business; so who are these hospitals actually treating, and with far more patients than capacity how are victims chosen for admittance against those fobbed off with or without a loot bag, anyone?

A look at the spec. written in English on the side of the tin was in nobody's interest.

Boris shouted, "Get England Some Tests NOW."

The purchaser entered, "Coronavirus Testing Kit", into google and received 2,000 hits.

    After due diligence:

    1. On approved supplier list?
    2. Delivery time?
    3. Unit price?
    4. Routing 1 - Direct Flight?
    5. Routing 2 - No crossing of ameristani controlled, legal or illegal, airspace?

The supplier list shrank to 6, all situated in PRC. The purchaser past the list to his Purchasing Manager. She called No. 10.

The government spokeswoman, one of Boris's new female, blue skirted, smoking hot, "interns" screamed, "Which part of, Buy the Fucking Tests, do you not understand, you moron? Is English not your native language, you moron?" (No TD members, alive or dead inferred.)

The Purchasing Manager replied , "They will be dispatched for delivery at RAF Brize Norton, in Oxfordshire in three days".

The government spokeswoman replied, "Thank you."

The tests were delivered, as demanded. A "respected scientist" awaiting his grant approval was asked read his script ....

A true story of incompetent government actions and buck passing propaganda.

Apropos the antibody fiasco in Britain, the scandal of ordering the redundant antibody test kits from the Chinks is a superb example of what happens when politicians decide issues without reference to their civil servants and due diligence by them and their agents.
Clearly, BoJo the Clown was at the bottom of the decision egged on by his Goebbels Cummings whose aversion to conventional management practices is well known, often preferring the intuitive route used by by the marginal and sociopathic.

Ordering the Chink test kits was idiotic when one learns that they could only detect antibodies in those who were truly fucked by the virus, quite pointless of course when one wants a test for those who had little or no symptoms of infection.

Still, BoJo isn't the first politician to ask a consultant to borrow their watch in order to tell the time and I daresay he won't be the last.

At least he is now truly understanding why the Tories should not have stripped the NHS of resources for over a decade.

Fritz, there is a very good reason why there are no German comedians other than those who think falling over a pig and farting to the strains of an oompah band is amusing.

German humour is of course an oxymoron, a bit like German diplomacy.

Indeed, pretty much your response when confronted by facts you fail to understand or with which you disagree in the light of your neurotic disposition.

Listen laddie, it's a 50-50 chance you will survive if you need intubation and the assistance of a ventilator.

There is no cure, no treatment other than the palliative, survival is a lottery.

The Germans organised themselves quickly and efficiently a month ago, at a time when BoJo the Clown ( now regretfully ) was farting about listening to the drivel about herd immunity favoured by Goebbels Cummings. They realised that the infected should remain at home and self help given finite hospital resources, but unlike the British they ensured that sufferers in the community were not excluded from oversight and maintained a watching brief on all patients which quickly detected those who were yielding to the "second wave" of infection and hospitalised them before reaching a critical stage. This avoidance strategy seems to have paid dividends.
