Didn't China build a wall? Yet again you try to divert attention by referring to Trump, who (despite being a revolting human being) has nothing to do with this. Deflection and diversion . . . except it doesn't work

    Don't be coy.

    Why hide the source?

China’s coronavirus is not remotely under control and the world economy is in mounting peril
It is after all, the mouthpiece of UK establishment.

We know that you like opinions like this:

    4:00 am Feb 7

Chinese doctor Li Wenliang, one of the eight "whistleblowers" who tried to warn other medics of the coronavirus outbreak but were reprimanded by local police, died from coronavirus at 2:58 am Friday, the hospital where he received treatment announced.
Real-time update on coronavirus outbreak - Global Times

The nerves of those bastards to print that!!! The poor guy probably never received any treatment at all. They might have even infected him on purpose with the virus. I know this is far fetched, but think about it.

Those Chinese doctors are dumb as shit and don't know how to protect themselves. They must be running out of medical staff pretty soon.

....on second thought....maybe they didn't give him any protection.

Some good commentary from the BBC on the death of whistleblower doctor Li Wenliang

Li Wenliang: Coronavirus kills Chinese whistleblower doctor

The death of Dr Li Wenliang has been a heart-breaking moment for this country. For the Chinese leadership it is an epic political disaster.

It lays bare the worst aspects of China's command and control system of governance under Xi Jinping - and the Communist Party would have to be blind not to see it.

If your response to a dangerous health emergency is for the police to harass a doctor trying to blow the whistle, then your structure is obviously broken.

The city's mayor - reaching for excuses - said he needed clearance to release critical information which all Chinese people were entitled to receive.

Now the spin doctors and censors will try to find a way to convince 1.4 billion people that Dr Li's death is not a clear example of the limits to the party's ability to manage an emergency - when openness can save lives, and restricting it can kill.

Chinese people are going to take some convincing.

Yes, the Communist Party's propaganda is just that - propaganda. My father was posted to Czechoslovakia in the late 70s, I had to go to boarding school across the border but I visited every holidays. Communist propaganda is brilliant in its dumbing down of its people as there is no free press nor freedom of expression without repercussions - see the doctor they vilified

Gastrointestinal symptoms, which had not been considered primary clinical features of novel coronavirus, were observed in the first U.S. case of the illness, researchers found.
Coronavirus RNA was detected in the patient's stool sample on day 7 after illness, and the patient's clinical symptoms included a 2-day history of nausea and vomiting prior to admission, according to Michelle Holshue, MPH, of the CDC in Atlanta, and colleagues.
The patient, age 35, presented with these gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms and dry cough, but no shortness of breath or chest pain. On the second day of hospitalization, the patient passed a loose bowel movement and reported abdominal discomfort, they stated in a brief report in the New England Journal of Medicine.

ANUTIN: FARANGS WHO DON’T WEAR MASKS ‘SHOULD BE KICKED OUT’

    By
    Tappanai Boonbandit, Staff Reporter -

    February 7, 2020 12:55 pm

Health minister Anutin Charnvirakul hands out face masks to commuters at BTS Siam on Feb. 7, 2020.

BANGKOK — Health minister Anutin Charnvirakul on Friday slammed foreign tourists who refused to wear face masks handed out by the government, saying they “should be kicked out.”

Using racially charged terms in an interview with the media at BTS Siam this morning, the health minister also said non-compliant behaviors of foreigners should be reported to embassies.

“Ai farangs, those tourists – that’s something the embassies should be noticed of and the public as well that are not wearing masks,” Anutin said, using the term farang, which refers to Caucasians. “We’re handing them out and they still refuse. They need to be kicked out of Thailand!”
Thai Public Health Min Anutin Charnvirakul was handing out surgical masks today for people to protect themselves against the Novel #Coronavirus. Apparently some foreign tourists didn't take them, which led to this unusual outburst by him suggesting they "should be kicked out."

“They don’t care about the big picture and these tourists are in the country. We’re giving the masks to them and they still refuse,” he said.

Anutin continued, “The Chinese, the Asians – they are all taking [the masks], but those ai Europeans… that’s unbelievable,” he said using a Thai derogatory prefix.

Despite the health minister’s insistence on wearing face masks, the World Health Organization suggested that it is not required for individuals without respiratory symptoms since “it may cost unnecessary cost and false sense of security.”

For the one(s) who need to know about him every day (at the moment he is busy talking Trump):

China will defeat coronavirus, Xi tells Trump, as doctor's death sparks outcry (video)

BEIJING/SHANGHAI (Reuters) - Chinese President Xi Jinping assured his U.S. counterpart on Friday that China was doing all it can to contain a new coronavirus that has killed almost 640 people, including a doctor who sounded the alarm only to be threatened by police.

China was gradually achieving results and was confident it could defeat the epidemic with no long-term consequences for economic development, Xi told President Donald Trump in a telephone call, according to state television.

The call to the White House, which China has accused of scaremongering over the epidemic, came as China’s central bank vowed to step up support for the economy to cushion the blow of the outbreak.

First-quarter growth in the world’s second-biggest economy could slow by 2 percentage points or more, from 6%, in the last quarter, analysts say, but could rebound sharply if the outbreak peaked soon.

Chinese stocks were heading for their worst week since May while elsewhere in Asia, financial markets slipped after several days of gains.

Xi had earlier declared a “people’s war” on the virus, saying China had responded with all its strength and “the most thorough and strict prevention and control measures”, state media said.

The rallying cry came amid an outpouring of grief and anger on social media over the death of ophthalmologist Li Wenliang.

Li, 34, was one of eight people reprimanded by police in the central city of Wuhan, the epicenter of the contagion, last month for spreading “illegal and false” information about the flu-like virus.

His social media messages warning of a new “SARS-like” coronavirus - a reference to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) which originated in China and killed almost 800 people around the world in 2002-2003 - triggered the wrath of police.

China was accused of trying to cover up SARS.

Li was forced to sign a letter on Jan. 3 saying he had “severely disrupted social order” and was threatened with charges.

“We deeply mourn the death of Wuhan doctor Li Wenliang ... After all-effort rescue, Li passed away on 2:58 a.m.,” the ruling Communist Party’s People’s Daily said on Twitter.

Very inconsiderate of him to severely disrupt the social order by dying.

What a bunch of utter clods the Chinese Communists authorities are.
