Only really confirms what we already knew about the chinky coverup.

Early COVID-19 vaccine patents filed by Chinese scientists and patents meant to prevent the escape of pathogens from labs is the latest evidence to emerge suggesting that the coronavirus leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology as early as August 2019.
Chinese scientists affiliated with the People's Liberation Army filed a patent for a COVID-19 vaccine in February 2020, with their research indicating they began working on a vaccine at least by November 2019, nearly two months before Beijing disclosed the COVID outbreak, according to a report on the virus compiled by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and his staff.
Additionally, Wuhan researchers filed for a patent in December 2019 for an "integrated system for use in biological protection" that would detect air pressure changes to maintain negative airflow and ensure that the lab operates safely.
The patent application also included data from between September and December 2019 indicating that the WIV was experiencing serious issues with its ventilation systems.

I'd not heard of this, given the utter incompetence of COVID handling and collusion with the Chinkies i am staggered countries are hand over powers to the WHO.

WHO could gain powers to impose lockdown on UK

MPs fear new treaty designed to increase the organisation’s powers would enable it to enforce border closures and vaccine passports

Lockdown measures could be imposed on the UK by the World Health Organisation (WHO) during a future pandemic under sweeping new powers, ministers fear.

Member states would be obliged to follow the agency’s instructions when responding to pandemics, including by introducing vaccine passports, border closures and quarantine measures, under a draft update to its regulations.

A new “pandemic treaty” under discussion would also force Britain to spend five per cent of its health budget on preparing for another virus outbreak.

Ministers are understood to be alarmed by plans to increase the WHO’s powers enabling its governing body to require countries to hand over the recipe of vaccines, regardless of intellectual property rights, and to counter misinformation.

Conservative MPs have written to ministers to warn of an “ambition evident…for the WHO to transition from an advisory organisation to a controlling international authority”.

Foreign Office urged to block powers
In their letter, seen by The Telegraph, they urge the Foreign Office to block powers that “appear to intrude materially into the UK’s ability to make its own rules and control its own budgets”.

Responding to the concerns on Thursday, Andrew Mitchell, a Foreign Office minister, told The Telegraph that he would block any law that prevents the UK from setting its own health policy.

“The UK is supportive of the pandemic treaty currently being negotiated by national governments, which could speed up the sharing of data on new pandemic threats so we are able to respond quickly in the event of future pandemics,” he said.

“We’re clear that we would never agree to anything that crosses our points of principle on sovereignty or prevents the UK from taking decisive action against future pandemics.”

Changes to make WHO advice 'binding'
The rule changes have been proposed as part of plans to update the WHO’s International Health Regulations (IHRs) in light of the coronavirus pandemic and establish a new Pandemic Preparedness Treaty.

The treaty was first proposed by world leaders including Boris Johnson in 2021 during the pandemic and was originally designed to improve alert systems, data-sharing and the production of vaccines to “foster an all of government and all of society approach”.

But among 300 proposed amendments to the IHRs are changes to make the WHO’s advice “binding” and introduce a new requirement for countries to recognise it as the global authority on public health measures.

The plan would require member countries to “recognise WHO as the guidance and coordinating authority of international public health response…and undertake to follow WHO’s recommendations in their international public health response”.

If passed, the change would mean the WHO could enforce border closures, quarantine measures and vaccine passports on all member countries, including the UK.

A draft of the treaty itself would commit member states to spending five per cent of their health budgets, plus a proportion of GDP, to pandemic preparedness.

    'Particularly worrying'
Six conservative MPs led by Esther McVey, the former Cabinet minister, have written to Mr Mitchell to call for a Commons vote on the draft treaty and regulations before they are signed.

Ms McVey said: “There is, rightly, growing concern about the WHO’s Pandemic Treaty and International Health Regulations.

“The plans represent a significant shift for the organisation, from a member-led advisory body to a health authority with powers of compulsion.

“This is particularly worrying when you consider the WHO’s poor track record on providing consistent, clear and scientifically sound advice for managing international disease outbreaks.”

The letter has also been signed by the Tory MPs Sir John Redwood, David Davis, Philip Davies, Sir Christopher Chope and Danny Kruger.

Mr Kruger said: “Coordination and cooperation in a public health emergency is sensible but ceding control over health budgets and critical decision-making in a pandemic to an unelected international organisation seems profoundly at odds with national autonomy and democratic accountability.”

Campaigners also expressed concern about increasing the WHO’s role in identifying misinformation, after its experts dismissed the “lab leak” Covid origin theory only to later accept it “remain(s) on the table”.

Molly Kingsley, co-founder of the UsForThem campaign group, said: “We should all be concerned about the WHO being ordained as an arbiter of pandemic truth, especially given its poor record during the pandemic, such as its claim that Covid was definitively zoonotic in origin and its April 2020 denial of the role of natural immunity in protecting against infection.”

    The never ending story.

Siriraj Hospital’s ICU and IPD fully occupied with COVID-19 patients

The Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital in Bangkok announced on its Facebook page yesterday (Friday) that all its hospital beds in its intensive care unit (ICU) and in-patient department (IPD) are fully occupied by COVID-19 patients.

The hospital also said that there are still several COVID-19 patients in its emergency ward, who are waiting to be transferred to other hospitals, as it apologised to the public for the inconvenience.

The hospital’s announcement coincides with a warning yesterday from Dr. Nitipat Jiarakul, chief of the Division of the Respiratory Diseases and Tuberculosis at the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital, that COVID-19 is staging a comeback, with as many as 20,000-40,000 people being infected each day, about 20 times more than the rate of infection in April.

According to Dr. Nitipat, admissions to hospitals have increased to about 400 a day, from about 20 in April and, of these, 5% are suffering lung infections and half of them have died.

The death toll also surged 20 fold, to about 66 a week now instead of just 4 in April.

Half of those deaths were directly linked to a COVID-19 infection and the other half to a resurgence of comorbidities, such as kidney disease, emphysema and heart diseases.

Meanwhile, Dr. Thira Woratanarat, of the Faculty of Medicine at Chulalongkorn University, said in his Facebook post today that the Omicron XBB.1.5 sub-variant still accounts for 53.8% of new infections in the United States, but the rate is steadily declining as the Omicron XBB.1.16 sub-variant is steadily rising, accounting for 15.1% of all infections, followed by 11.8% by the XBB.1.9.1 sub-variant and 6.1% by XBB.1.9.2.

He disclosed that at least 180 out of over 1,800 medical personnel who attended a conference organised by the US Centres for Disease Control (CDC) in April were found to be infected with COVID-19, because most of them had not worn face masks.

The CDC has issued an advisory for people attending its event in June, asking them to wear their “own high-quality masks and, if possible, to also carry COVID-19 rapid antigen test kits with them.”

The ol' chinkies eh. Gotta love 'em.

BEIJING — China is bracing for a new wave of Covid infections that could see as many as 65 million cases per week by the time the surge peaks at the end of June.
It’s a startling prediction in a country, where the pandemic originated in late 2019, that only months ago had enforced some of the harshest Covid control protocols on the planet. Now, with the latest omicron variant, XBB, fueling a resurgence in cases, the response from China’s government and the public is muted at best.

The surge comes about six months after the country dismantled its sprawling infrastructure for dealing with Covid, including harsh lockdowns, mass testing, stifling quarantines and strict mask requirements.
“People feel differently about this wave,” said Qi Zhang, 30, who works at a finance company in the northern city of Tianjin. “The last time, everyone was terrified, but now they don’t think it’s a big deal,” she told NBC News on Thursday.

The new wave’s data was revealed by respiratory disease specialist Zhong Nanshan at a medical conference this week in the southern city of Guangzhou. According to state media, he told the audience that the wave that started in late April was “anticipated,” and that his modeling suggested China could be approaching 40 million infections per week. By the end of June, he said, the weekly number of infections will peak at 65 million.
The United States, by comparison, was reporting more than 5 million cases a week at its peak last January. Like the U.S., China stopped providing weekly case updates this month, making it difficult to know the true extent of the current outbreak.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) on Wednesday officially declared the end of the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia, marking the start of the endemic stage.

"After more than three years we fight the COVID-19 pandemic together, today, Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the government decides to revoke the pandemic status," Widodo said in his remarks to the press at Merdeka Palace here.

"We are now entering the endemic stage," he announced.

The government's decision to declare the end of the pandemic is based on the fact that currently, the number of COVID-19 daily cases in Indonesia is close to zero, he said.

Serosurvey reports have shown that 99 percent of the Indonesian population already has COVID-19 antibodies, he added.

The World Health Organization also declared the end of the COVID-19 global health emergency on May 5, 2023, he noted.

COVID infections falling steadily, fewer fatalities over past month

New COVID-19 infections in Thailand and other countries were steadily falling over the past month, with fewer fatalities, according to Dr. Opart Karnkawinpong, public health permanent secretary.

He expressed concern, however, for people over 60 and those suffering from underlying diseases, pointing out that most of the fatalities were people over 70 and those who were not vaccinated.

According to the Department of Disease Control, there were 1,653 hospital admissions between June 18th and 24th. Of these, 265 suffered from lung infections, 164 need ventilators and 36 died.

Dr. Opart appealed to relatives of those over 60 or with underlying conditions to bring them to hospitals or clinics for COVID-19 vaccination, along with the anti-flu vaccine. They are also advised to bring children, aged from six months to five years, for COVID inoculation, to reduce the risk of death or severe symptoms.

He disclosed that most of the new COVID-19 cases are the Omicron hybrid, which is capable of spreading quickly, but symptoms are not severe and the infections can be detected with rapid antigen or RT-PCR tests. He also assured that there is sufficient medication to cope with the situation.

Meanwhile, Associate Professor Dr. Thira Woratanarat, at Chulalongkorn University, said that COVID infections in Japan increased three fold after the government has eased restrictions on May 8th.

He stressed the need for preventive measures, both by medical personnel and the public in general, by wearing face masks in public venues at least.

I found out that my local government hospital has a Covid vaccination centre, open every Friday. So I rocked up yesterday with my passport and my existing certificate which shows my last jab was 15 months ago. The nurse said I could have Pfizer or Moderna. I couldn't get any clarity about whether or not these vaccines are in any way updated from last year's. She gave me a Moderna jab and an updated certificate including this jab. No drama, no cost, no queue, all done from in to out in about 5 minutes. Sore arm today, otherwise fine.

Not that I'm opposed, but if they're vaccines for a variant that doesn't exist in numbers any more, seems a bit pointless.

I wonder if the rabble of retarded antivax mongs will prefer to die of cancer rather than risk one of those "big pharma" mRNA vaccines that may be what could safe their miserable, pointless lives?

Mr Taylor comes to the centre's clinical trials unit every two weeks and, along with other treatment, receives a vaccine.

It uses the same mRNA technology as most Covid vaccines and operates on the same principle - training the body to fight and destroy harmful diseases.

It's fair to say that without the pandemic, this trial would probably not exist - the huge concentration of money and effort to find a Covid vaccine also massively accelerated progress in this cutting-edge field.

"This technology harnesses defects in the cancer cells and creates personalised vaccines for the individual," says the centre's medical director Dr Sheena Khanduri.

"It's hugely exciting and it really represents a paradigm shift in the knowledge we have about how cancer vaccines work."

One of the women in the gf's small office turned up to work telling them her husband has Covid. This reminded me that I had told the gf to try to find out when the updated jab became available. Some months ago I was told a 2023 updated jab would be coming, then that was the last I heard of it. So I asked the gf again and she came back with the 'Friday at the Hospital' information. Really I went along to ask what jab they were giving, the answer I got was Moderna and Pfizer. The nurse and admin doing the jabs didn't seem to understand the question, probably they had no idea. I'm not in the group that thinks Covid jabs will me a third testicle so I said I'll take it anyway.
Now, about that growing discomfort between the legs...

Interesting that they are offering vaccinations still. I am the states currently and covid isn't even discussed anymore and I believe the only vaccination available is a very specific one for people with high risk medical conditions.

No doubt the Republicans will squash this at the first available opportunity to dog whistle to their "base", ie. stoopid trumpanzee idiots.

As part of the President’s commitment to ensure that our country is more prepared for a pandemic than we were when he took office, the Administration is standing up the Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy (OPPR). This will be a permanent office in the Executive Office of the President (EOP) charged with leading, coordinating, and implementing actions related to preparedness for, and response to, known and unknown biological threats or pathogens that could lead to a pandemic or to significant public health-related disruptions in the United States. OPPR will take over the duties of the current COVID-19 Response Team and Mpox Team at the White House and will continue to coordinate and develop policies and priorities related to pandemic preparedness and response.

Seven of my daughter's class in Korat (out of eighteen) are currently off school, my daughter among them. They all have similar symptoms... sore throats tiredness, dry coughs, headaches... and three of the seven sre testing positive for covid, the others negative.

This seems really strange to me... they are all from the same class and presenting tne same symptoms. Common sense says that they have the same sickness, whether covid or not. I have also heard that covid is rife in the NE at the moment.

The daughter's currently testing negative, but how reliable are these ATK tests? What is more likely, a false positive or a false negative test result?

^ Yeah, that's my feeling. To me it seems likely that all these kids have covid.

The daughter used to be tested twice a week for school but never tested positive... yet these days she seems to have almost completely lost her sense of smell so I'm sure she's had covid at some point.

Mind you, losing your sense of smell isn't such a bad thing at times living in a Thai household.

Let's hope the chinky bastards aren't lying again.

China has reported no "unusual or novel pathogens" in clusters of child pneumonia cases, the World Health Organization has said.

Beijing has attributed a rise in flu-like illnesses to the lifting of Covid curbs, said the WHO, which had requested for more data on the cases.

Still it urged residents in China to take precautions, like getting vaccinated and wearing masks.

Local media had in recent days reported hospitals being overwhelmed.

In a statement on Wednesday, the WHO said it requested China for more information on reports in the media and from ProMed - a global outbreak surveillance system - of "clusters of undiagnosed pneumonia in children in northern China".

Pneumonia is a general medical term used to describe an infection and inflammation of the lungs. It can be caused by many different viruses, bacteria or fungi.

After the WHO's request, state-run Xinhua news agency published an article which quoted officials of China's National Health Commission (NHC) as saying they were paying close attention to the diagnosis and care of children with respiratory illnesses.

Later on Thursday, the WHO said in a statement that China has not detected any "unusual or novel pathogens", and that the increase in respiratory illnesses spreading in the north of the country was due to "multiple known pathogens".
