Indeed, then you have to throw in the 3.5K ATK positives also.

I wonder how many will go to tinpot generals or end up on sale?

The US will donate more than 17 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine to the African Union, President Joe Biden announced on Thursday.

Biden made the announcement when he met with President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Republic of Kenya on Thursday afternoon at the White House. The 17 million doses will be delivered to the African Union in the coming weeks, a senior administration official said. This donation is in addition to the 50 million doses the US has already sent to the African Union. Kenyatta is the first African leader Biden has welcomed to the White House during his presidency.

I'm thinking that human life on earth has changed and the future will look quite different than the past. Most people in the USA are tired of Covid19 and many are refusing vaccines and not wearing masks in public. "Who cares about a 1% death rate" seems to be common thread with a few as well. Thailand is opening up to get that mighty tourist dollar which it so badly needs and the rest of the world is about the same. Living with the current strain of Covid19 is becoming an accepted new normal. I suppose all this will go on fairly well until we get a variant that will have a higher death rate or more serious illness symptoms. At any rate, I think the biological state of humanity has changed.

It's not the first pandemic. It won't be the last.

But maybe now they will take preparation and planning a little more seriously than that fat, stupid, orange wanker did.

Many countries outside Asia found their pandemic plans wanting, the UK for one. The reaction plan was woefully dated and based upon a Flu, the "experts were caught well and truly on the hop. Sad to say this but COVID luckily wasn't that severe but oddly may save lives in future through testing and updating Countries pandemic planning for when the real big one comes.

I would think a fair few people bought this and subsequently found they could get Pfizered up for nothing.

Although the two I know that did this were able to sell them on.

It being Thailand though, the "netizens" are outraged.

The Private Hospitals Association on Thursday said it has no refund policy for people who wish to cancel their Moderna vaccine preorders.

However, they can postpone their vaccine appointment or transfer their doses to other people, it said.

Netizens have expressed disappointment after news broke that the first batch of 1.9 million Moderna vaccine doses is delayed.

Some of them have called for the association to issue refunds over the setback, though judging by its reaction, they are out of luck.

The association previously said the first batch would arrive this month.

However, the delivery has been delayed, and it is now expecting to receive the batch next month.

Dr Chalerm Hanpanich, president of the association, which oversees the purchase and distribution of Moderna jabs, broke the news to the public on Thursday.

ZP Therapeutics, a division of Zuellig Pharma, the authorised distributor, said it will deliver 1.9 million Moderna doses next month.

The company said a batch of 6.8 million doses is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of next year.

Because of the delay on the vaccine distributor's side, the association does not know when the vaccine finally will be given to customers, Dr Chalerm said.

With the government preparing to administer booster shots, customers can choose to postpone their jabs or transfer their rights to someone else, he said.

"My customers of about 1 million people don't press for refunds," Dr Chalerm said. "We've made it clear that despite this setback the jabs can be transferred or postponed."

Meanwhile, Sunaiyana Kitkasetpaisan, general manager of ZP Therapeutics, on Thursday said the company has submitted documents to the Thai Food and Drug Administration to register the US-made vaccine to speed up the delivery process.

She said the delivery of the Moderna vaccine is the company's top priority.

The latest update indicated that the first batch will be delivered some time next month, with 100,000–300,000 doses likely to be delivered every following week.

Ms Sunaiyana said the company is likely to be notified a week or two before the delivery is made.

    No refunds over jab delivery
