^^ Tomorrow it is and it caused a 2 day shopping spree extraordinaire. The lockdown is until 20 Jan and some areas may have 9pm-5am curfew. Bavaria might adopt this too. I can still go to work but reduced workforce everywhere with many on home office.

    The US hit 300,000 dead.

They passed the entire WWII US Death Toll a while back.

Is there a Vaccine thread anywhere? Like to read what people think. While encouraging, I am not very confident and the message being conveyed is that it will stop Covid spread but that's not necessarily all that true. My Dad said he will run out and get it immediately. He said its that or die. I sent him a few links to read up on it. My daughter who is in the medical profession thinks somewhat similarly that it is not a cure and that people once they get shots feel they can run around and they will not spread it.

I'm just so glad I live in a country that's far more sensible, and I can go about my day and my life with minuscule impedance (a mask when going out).

Why is the resistance of an electric circuit to alternating current of such importance to you?

Does it interfere with your hearing aid?

Here here to that EdMaond... While I have family and friends in the states I feel very fortunate my life has been minimally impacted while here. As you said a Mask at the factory when outside my office, Mask in the mall or a 7/11.

^ My mum get's her first Pfizer/Biontech jab today, the second booked for January 6th. A week later immunity to takes effect, whatever the percentage is.

I don't think she'll change things overmuch, and will surely still mask up and sanitise hands etc when she goes out for the time being.

It will surely be nice for family and friends to visit in relative comfort after the vaccination. Despite Boris Johnson's Christmas relaxation of Covid rules in the UK we decided as a family to ignore Christmas this year with the vaccines just around the corner.

I think that is pretty sound thinking Mendip. No need to risk it. Its just one Christmas holiday. I will miss my trip to the states this year to hang out with my parents and daughters. However 2021 shaping up to be better. Trump and that asshat loud mouth bubbleheaded bleach blond McEnany gone and a vaccine in process.

    Happy Holidays

My understanding is that it does prevent the person who received the inoculation from contracting the SARS-CoV-2 virus, it just stops the person from developing covid-19 (For example, HIV is the virus that causes AIDS)

The problem is, a Covid-19 vaccine that only prevents illness—which is to say, symptoms—might not prevent infection with the virus or transmission of it to other people. Worst case, a vaccinated person could still be an asymptomatic carrier.

A bit perplexing - the comparative COVID death count to any war era[s] deaths.
One has nothing, whatsoever, to do with other.

I guess some insist on the continued and associated romance and championing of war and militarism with most everything.

COVID-19 circuit breaker tightened on intl passenger flights

"China's circuit breaker arrangement for international passenger flights was tightened on Wednesday to contain the spread of COVID-19.

According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, China's civil aviation regulator, if the number of passengers testing positive reaches five, the airline's flights will be suspended for two weeks, starting on Wednesday. The earlier regulation — which started in June — suspended the airline's flights for one week if there are five passengers testing positive on the flight.

The suspension will last for four weeks if the number of passengers who test positive for COVID-19 reaches 10, which remains the same with the earlier regulation."

There does appear to multiple strains around the world. Either from the out break or subsequent to vaccine creation/discovery/time to delivery.

As in flue vaccines the Covid vaccines will continue to place demands on updating to match the virus.

Interesting. The chinkies reported only 12 new cases in the whole country yesterday, and 17 the day before that.

And yet here they are talking about flights with 5 cases on as if it is to be expected.

I wonder if perhaps the chinkies are lying again?

The evil c u n t s that do this should be exterminated, whether they are retarded trumpanzees or Russian troll factories.

After Alabama began administering COVID-19 vaccines to health care workers on Tuesday, posts online began claiming that a nurse had died after receiving the vaccine.

The posts circulated on Facebook and Twitter, with some users suggesting it was their aunt who had died or they had received the information from a close friend. Social media users shared screenshots of text messages that said, “omg just found out my aunt dead,” and also said that the woman’s family did not want her name revealed.

The posts were shared by accounts that had previously shared anti-vaccine misinformation.

“And so it starts... A 42 y/o nurse in Alabama found dead 8-10 hours after the va((ine,” one post on Facebook said.

After being contacted by the AP, officials with the Alabama Department of Public Health checked with the hospitals that administered the COVID-19 vaccine to confirm that the information being shared online was false. The department released a statement on social media to combat the misinformation.

“The posts are untrue,” the department said. “No persons who received a COVID-19 vaccine in Alabama have died.”

The posts online claimed that the nurse had died from a severe allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis. Those with a history of allergic reactions are being told to not get the vaccine after two health care workers in England suffered reactions. Those two people have since recovered.
Claim that nurse died after getting COVID vaccine is false
