Respectfully, your figures are not correct.
You cannot detail or understand the mortality rate of the coronavirus at this stage in its development. It will take several years of analysis once the Coronavirus is over to understand the total infected and the mortality rate.
Let's use SARS as an example, it's a very good example, parallel in many ways. While SARS was ongoing (around 9 months) the mortality rate was said to be 4%. Nowadays, the latest figures claim SARS had a mortality rate of 14% or 15% and in some groups, i.e. the kinda group many Teakdoor members are in, say, the over 64 age group - the mortality rate was 55%. Thus, you can see that SARS had quite a high mortality rate, but luckily it didn't spread easily. Let's say, for our comparison, because it is the middle ground and many scientific groups use this figure, that SARS mortality rate was 10%.
Let's do some comparison between SARS and Coronavirus:
SARS spread to 26 countries. Coronavirus has already spread to 28 countries within a short space of time, so it's gonna it's gonna spread to many more countries than SARS.
SARS didn't spread easily. Coronavirus spreads very easily, so will be much more widespread to many more people than SARS.
SARS infected 8098 globally in 9 months. Coronavirus has spread 400% further in about a quarter of the time.
SARS killed 774 people in 9 months. Coronavirus, in around two months, has already killed 640 people (although, there are many claims in China that the number is many times that...).
Thus, SARS was a serious pandemic, but Coronavirus spreads much more easily, has already spread to more countries and infected many times more people in a very short space of time, so will kill hugely more people than SARS.
By the way, over 60 people have Coronavirus on that Japanese cruise ship now, and I'm not sure they've even tested half the people on board yet...

From China with hate to you:
We know they are lying! They know that they are lying!
Without trust and honesty, a person cannot stand - and a country will perish. In this era where lies are everywhere, it is so valuable to tell the truth.
OhOh, you seem to be only person left holding up the red flag. Shame on you!
Pangolins may have spread coronavirus to humans
A Chinese university says scientists identified the heavily trafficked pangolin as a possible intermediary host of the new coronavirus.
The coronavirus from China is believed to have originated in bats and transferred to humans through some other animal, health officials say. The pangolin may be that key link, researchers at South China Agricultural University said Friday.
"This latest discovery will be of great significance for the prevention and control of the origin of the new coronavirus," South China Agricultural University said in a translated statement.
The research team tested more than 1,000 samples from wild animals and found a 99% match between the genome sequences of viruses found in pangolins and those in human patients, the AFP reported, citing Chinese state media.
Coronavirus: Pangolin may be virus host; WHO says virus numbers drop
Too bad the virus doesn’t just kill people who eat or traffic pangolin.
In Thailand’s second-largest city, Chiang Mai police told a Thai restaurant owner to remove a sign in front of her eatery which said in English: “We apologize we are not accepting CHINESE customers. Thank you.”
Tourist police told Waraphat Thapiang, 33, that her sign could “affect national security,” according to Thailand’s Khaosod English news-site. Surprisingly, police suggested she could rewrite her sign to say politely but deceptively: “We ran out of food” in Chinese.
“I wrote that sign in the first place because I don’t know which one of the Chinese customers who [ate] at my restaurant was infected,” she said after agreeing to the suggested rewrite.
Waraphat wrote the first sign when she saw worried Thais leave her Kloijai Khaosoi restaurant in Mae On district when they realized a group of Chinese tourists were dining there, she said.

Revenge of the Pangolin?
Pangolins may have spread coronavirus to humans | World news | The GuardianChinese researchers investigating the animal origin of the coronavirus outbreak in China have said that the endangered pangolin may be the “missing link” between bats and humans.
Bats are known carriers of the latest strain of the disease, which has infected at least 31,000 people and killed more than 630 worldwide, mostly in China where the outbreak started.
A genetic analysis showed that the strain of the virus currently spreading among humans was 96% identical to that found in bats.
But according to Arnaud Fontanet, from France’s Pasteur Institute, the disease did not jump straight from bats to humans. “We think there’s another animal that’s an intermediary,” he told AFP.
The Sars outbreak of 2002-3, involving a different strain of coronavirus, was transferred to humans by the civet, a small mammal whose meat is considered a delicacy in China.
Many animals are capable of transmitting viruses to other species, and nearly all strains of coronavirus contagious to humans originated in wildlife.
Several studies have shown that the bat-borne virus lacks the necessary hardware to latch onto human cell receptors. But it’s still not clear which animal is the missing link.
Fontanet believes the intermediary was “probably a mammal,” possibly belonging to the badger family.
After testing more than 1,000 samples from wild animals, scientists at the South China Agricultural University found that the genome sequences of viruses in pangolins to be 99% identical to those on coronavirus patients, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
But other experts urged caution. “This is not scientific evidence,” said James Wood, head of the department of veterinary medicine at the University of Cambridge. “Investigations into animal reservoirs are extremely important, but results must be then be published for international scrutiny.”
“Simply reporting detection of viral RNA with sequence similarity of more than 99% is not sufficient,” he added.
BMA prepares coronavirus quarantine facility
BANGKOK (NNT) - The Ministry of Public Health has reported that 25 new cases of the new coronavirus have been reported in Thailand. Nine patients have been cleared of infection and discharged, leaving 16 in local hospitals. Most patients have shown signs of improvement, as they wait for laboratory results. The ministry insisted that the patients can safely return home after they are given a clean bill of health. Meanwhile, officials continue to screen and monitor passengers and tourists in Bangkok’s airports and other public transport systems.
The Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Pol Lt Gen Sophon Phisutthiwong, and executives of the Medical Service Department and the Bangkok Sanitation Department have held a meeting to prepare emergency medical operations. Five of the 25 infected patients from China are being treated in Bangkok hospitals. In addition to forming 71 teams, comprising personnel from the Department of Disease Control, to screen and check tourists suspected of having coronavirus infection, a quarantine facility has been set up at Bang Khun Thian Geriatric Hospital in Bangkok.

"We’ve been prepared since the beginning concerning venues to treat the patients. We have a negative-pressure room, as mentioned earlier. We have a room for modification and a ’co hos’ ward. The areas have been prepared. Today, we have a special area called ’hos pit’. It’s a place where we quarantine the patients. It’s isolated. No one can enter the place. It’s at Bang Khun Thian Geriatric Hospital. Another venue is a building consisting of eight houses. It can accommodate 32 people. If necessary, the infected patients can stay here. Preparations have been made."

The Chinese people probably hate OhOh for sticking up to their communist government.
*Should the Chinese overcome this terrible virus, I'll bet Xi Ping will boast like a Donald Trump.
Living in Malaysia and working in Singapore as well I can assure you that many/most Chinese here aren't fond of China (the way it is now)/the government/ the people
Of course it is their 'ancestral land' but that's about it
