^ Certainly not for me!
Staying awake until 10pm is a struggle.
Your terminology varies:
lying, are not providing true numbers, massaging their figures.
If an inquisitive person may ask:
"What criteria do you utilise for determining the "labelling", of countries with differing terminology, for alleged actions, which delivers the same outcome?
That's the closest genetic match I've seen, even though the mutations that made it human-transmissible look like they happened after it jumped.
What else have you seen? Feel free to post any research, I find it interesting, and it might be helpful in the global campaign to stop the chinkies eating every fucking thing that moves.
Even if the markets are reopened I doubt they'll be selling bats, in fact it's my understanding that the whole live wild animal thing is banned now.
When I first came to Shenzhen in 1999 I was surprised to see beavers, foxes, civet cats, snakes and all manner of wildlife in cages outside restaurants.
That's been stopped for ages now.
“If we stop testing right now we’d have very few cases, if any.” Donald J Trump.
What may have been ages ago doesn't mean it still doesn't go on behind the scenes. A bit like Thais still eating dogs. It may not be seen openly on the menu but in reality......... In fact due to the economic fall out of the virus, and wages falling, I think I may have to lock me dogs up.
Age really does matter. It seems our attempts to contain the spread of this virus have failed.
Some food for thought -
As we adjust our global economies - will we decide that the effort to protect the "vulnerable" segment of our population does not justify the associated cost?
Is it possible that humankind could reach a point where it is considered an individuals own fault that they contracted the virus?
Should the over 60's be in self imposed isolation to protect themselves?

Over 95% of People Who Died of Coronavirus in Europe Were Over 60, Says WHO
(GENEVA) — The head of the World Health Organization’s office in Europe says figures show that more than 95% of people who have died of coronavirus on the continent have been aged over 60.
But Dr. Hans Kluge said age is not the only risk factor for severe disease, adding: “The very notion that COVID-19 only affects older people is factually wrong.”
In an online news conference Thursday in Copenhagen, Kluge said “young people are not invincible” — echoing similar recent comments from WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
The U.N. health agency says 10% to 15% of people under 50 with the disease have moderate or severe infection.
“Severe cases of the disease have been seen in people in their teens or 20s with many requiring intensive care and some unfortunately passing away,” Kluge said.
He said recent statistics showed 30,098 people have been reported to have died in Europe, mostly in Italy, France and Spain.
“We know that over 95 percent of these deaths occurred in those older than 60 years,” he said, with more than half aged over 80.
Kluge said more than four in five of those people had at least one other chronic underlying conditions, like cardiovascular disease, hypertension or diabetes.
“On a positive note, there are reports of people over the age of 100 who were admitted to hospital for COVID-19 and have now — since — made a complete recovery,” he said.
Just how much do the over 60's contribute to our society?

Duterte being... well, Duterte.
The President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, has warned residents that the police and military have been told to "shoot dead" anyone "who creates trouble" during a month-long lockdown of Luzon - the largest and most populous island in the Philippines.
Mr Duterte's address came after 21 residents of a slum community in Manila were arrested for staging an "unauthorized protest" demanding government food aid, per ABC.
The residents claimed that they had not received food packs or other supplies since the lockdown began more than two weeks ago.
Per Reuters, there has been outrage amongst members of the medical community and hospital workers in the country, who are reportedly suffering instances of physical abuse and discrimination.
During a press conference, Duterte said;
“It is getting worse. So once again I’m telling you the seriousness of the problem and that you must listen.
“My orders to the police and military ... if there is trouble and there’s an occasion that they fight back and your lives are in danger, shoot them dead.”
“Is that understood? Dead. Instead of causing trouble, I will bury you.”

Last week when it first happened i didn't even know about it and thought someone was having a party then realised we are on quaratine and wondered wtf is going on. Anyway its on again tonight, perhaps this should be in the daily moan.
April 2
Russia confirmed 771 new coronavirus infections on Thursday, bringing the country’s official number of cases up to 3,548 and marking a record one-day increase in infections.
President Vladimir Putin announced an extension of the nationwide “non-working week” until April 30 after the country registered a sharp increase in coronavirus cases on Thursday. Speaking in a televised address, he added that he would delegate the decisionmaking power on anti-coronavirus measures to regional authorities given the regional differences in infection rates.
Putin has signed legislation imposing severe punishment — including up to five years in prison — for people convicted of spreading false information about the coronavirus. The legislation also imposes punishments for people breaking coronavirus quarantine rules, including up to seven years in prison.

These fucking Republicans really don't want anyone to know where the $500Bn is going, do they?
WASHINGTON (CN) – Further defining the architecture of the congressional strategy to combat the coronavirus pandemic, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Thursday that she is launching a new committee to oversee the federal response to the outbreak.
The bipartisan Select Committee on the Coronavirus Crisis will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Washington’s response to the pandemic that has crippled the U.S. economy and forced the majority of Americans to shelter at home. The House panel’s role will include implementing the $2.2 trillion coronavirus relief package, known as the CARES Act, signed by President Donald Trump last week.
“The committee will be empowered to examine all aspects of the federal response to coronavirus, and to assure that the taxpayers dollars are being wisely and efficiently spent to save lives, deliver relief and benefit our economy,” Pelosi said during a conference call with reporters.
Selecting House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., to lead the committee, Pelosi said the panel will wield subpoena power.
“The panel will weed out waste fraud and abuse,” the speaker said. “It will protect against price gouging, profiteering and political favoritism.”
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said he has “concerns” about the committee, calling the body redundant given the current House Oversight Committee and provisions in the CARES Act guaranteeing an inspector general will oversee the response package.
“I’m just wondering, does the speaker not trust the Oversight Committee?” McCarthy said on a call with reporters, adding that Clyburn should not be the one to lead the panel.
