I should imagine on line sales from China have dropped of drastically also.
Well that fucking sucks, I was thinking of a trip to Hawaii soon.
A couple from Japan tested positive for novel coronavirus shortly after visiting Hawaii this month, and Delta Airlines says it is notifying passengers who were on their flight home about the couple's diagnosis.
Hawaiian officials, meanwhile, say they've been looking into the couple's activities in Hawaii, and are trying to find people who may have been in close contact with the couple.
The man and woman were on Maui from January 28 to February 3, and then on Oahu from February 3 until their Delta flight home on February 6 to Nagoya, Japan, Hawaiian health officials say.
"We are proactively reaching out to customers who were onboard that flight as well as taking the necessary steps to ensure the safety of our customers and crew," Delta said Monday.
That roughly 10-hour flight, Delta Flight 611, departed Honolulu on the afternoon of February 6 and, after crossing over the International Date Line, landed in Nagoya on the evening of February 7.

Another 88 people diagnosed with coronavirus on cruise ship off Japan as Australians set to be evacuated.
The total number of coronavirus cases on the cruise ship has risen to 542, the largest cluster outside the epicentre in China.

Gotta wonder. Got a test population of human beings corralled on a cruise ship - How long will it take until 100% of the test population have become infected?
How many will die?
How many will be cured?
Ain'tcha glad ya ain't a guinea pig?
Ever gonna book another vaca on a cruise ship?
even the hospital director died yesterday in hunan.
I wonder how they're feeding everyone on the cruise ship ? Put it outside the door and knock ? And the passengers inside hope like hell that nobody in the kitchen is infected, or the stewards bringing the meal....
While the confirmed cases is not increasing much (I don't believe this...), the mortality rate in increasing:
(542 "other", seems to be the people on the boat off Yokohama - I wonder if the spread will approach 100% if they keep them all locked up together for long enough?)
Cycling should be banned!!!
God moves in mysterious ways, obviously. Or they are sinners.
South Korea coronavirus cases jump by nearly 50% | The Japan TimesSouth Korea coronavirus cases jump by nearly 50%
AFP-JIJI FEB 19, 2020
SEOUL – South Korea reported 15 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus on Wednesday — increasing its total by nearly 50 percent — including a cluster of at least 11 centered in the southern city of Daegu.
The trade-dependent South has been hit by the economic fallout from the virus outbreak in neighboring China, but until Wednesday’s jump, its own case numbers had hardly changed for several days.
The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said in a statement that 15 new coronavirus cases had been confirmed, raising its total from 31 to 46.
Of those, 13 were in Daegu and neighboring North Gyeongsang province, with 11 of them believed to be linked to a single patient, a 61-year-old woman.
Ten of them attend the same church as the woman, the KCDC said.
Sounds alright.
Just noticed it's in India. Will probably hit 500,000 there in a week.
Especially if transferred by head-wobble.
137 Thai Wuhan evacuees leave for home
137 of the Thai evacuees from the Chinese city of Wuhan were given a warm send-off as they left the Royal Thai Navy’s Sattahip base for home this morning.
Deputy Public Health Minister Sathit Pitutaecha, Chon Buri governor Pakkarathorn Thienchai, naval officers and medical personnel were at the base to see them off. Souvenirs were also given to the Thai returnees.
The 137 evacuees completed their 14-day mandatory quarantine period yesterday (Tuesday) and they underwent final medical checks before they were allowed to return home to reunite with their loved ones. The last evacuee, who was infected with COVID-19 and has recovered from the disease, is still under observation at the Chon Buri provincial hospital.
Several evacuees were picked up by their families, while the others were provided with a bus service, courtesy of the RTN, to take them to Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports, or to bus terminals in Bangkok, from where they continued the journey back home.
Several evacuees expressed their appreciation and gratitude to all the officials in heart-shaped cards, which were posted on a board at the guest houses in the naval base before their departure.

Russia to ban entry of Chinese nationals to halt virus
BERLIN (AP) — Russia will temporarily ban Chinese nationals from entering the country due to the virus outbreak centered in China that has infected more than 73,000 people worldwide, Russian authorities said Tuesday.
The entry ban goes into effect Thursday at midnight Moscow time (2100 GMT) for an indefinite period, according to a decree signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The government said it took the move due to the “worsening epidemiological situation” in China.
Russia already had cut off most Chinese visitors by closing the long land border with China and Mongolia and imposing other travel restrictions. The new entry ban won’t affect travelers who need to transfer flights at Russian airports, authorities said.
So far, Russia has had only three confirmed cases of the COVID-19 disease caused by the virus — two Chinese citizens who were treated and released, and a Russian national infected on the Diamond Princess cruise ship now quarantined in Japan.
MORE Russia to ban entry of Chinese nationals to halt virus
The Chinkies really are just a bunch of fucking wankers. "Official Statistics" are obviously a load of old shit.
Over one hundred people have died from COVID-19, the new coronavirus, since Tuesday - almost all of them in China, and the vast majority of them in the country's Hubei province.
Official statistics show a drop in the speed at which new patients are being infected with the virus, a sign that the lockdowns China has imposed on Wuhan and several other cities are beginning to work.
At the same time, China refused requests from the World Health Organization (WHO) representatives to entier Hubei.

2,010 deaths. Nothing is it?
Wanna be afraid but without help from media consider this.
"Seasonal flu kills 291,000 to 646,000 people worldwide each year, according to a new estimate that's higher than the previous one of 250,000 to 500,000 deaths a year."
That's right Norton... but what an effect it's having. I'm in Singapore just now and it's deserted. The corona virus has reduced tourism by 60%, according to the taxi drivers, and they should know.
My father died from pnuemonia a few years ago. He was almost 80, had advanced prostate cancer and aggressive Parkinsons. Something was going to nail him, and after a nasty fall the 'old man's friend' peacefully took him. No doubt if he had been exposed to coronavirus then that could well have taken him.
What I've never really seen here though to my satisfaction is the demographics of coronavirus fatalities. That's what worries me the most. Is it just the elderly and frail, people who are at the end of their lives, or is it more widespread?

We just don't know but an important bit of info. Could be a very small number. Hardly worth a breaking news item.
My point in above post is the media's constant reporting of every wee detail is getting ridiculous as compared to much more significant unmentioned disease deaths.
Fear mongering headlines but reckon it sells to the masses.
