THAILAND (NNT) - Good news for holidaymakers as the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) has announced it will waive entry fees at all national parks, and wildlife sanctuaries nationwide on 5th December.
The DNP Director General Thanya Netithammakun has announced that the department is waiving entry fees at national parks and wildlife sanctuaries across the country for Thai citizens, while vehicle tolls will also be waived on 5th December 2019, encouraging families to engage in recreational activities and develop their relationship with nature.
The free entry offer is also aimed at raising public awareness of conservation of natural resources, the environment, and wildlife.
Visitors are asked not to take plastic bags, foam containers, single-use plastics, or alcoholic drinks into national parks and wildlife sanctuaries, to help reduce waste and prevent incidents where wildlife may be harmed by ingesting plastic waste. This will help conserve the resources and preserve the beauty of these areas.
Visitors can reserve accommodation or camping spots provided at some national parks by visiting DNP website www.dnp.go.th. For more information, call 025620760-2.
