If any of this is true, we'd be seeing a huge sell-off of beachfront property around the world now?

They're new projections and, as we regularly see on here, many are 'in de nile' ahead of time.

What will future generations of scuba divers make of the lost city of patterz?

The sheer idiocy that these weather fanatics have engendered is beyond any reason whatsoever.

And what has been the analysEs of the impactS of this alleged exponential increase in volumes of water on the planetary surface on its crustal stability and the shifting of tectonic plates?

And your academic qualifications are again?

Btw, weather is not climate. That's something you learn in grade 9 geography or science, if you made it that far.

Ah, a fucking post adolescent environmental studies graduate from a technical college in Scunthorpe getting funding for some computer modelling project is a "scientist" these days.

The presumption that x will occur because of y while ignoring z is not scientific.

But we are selling our beachfront condo just in case........

Has anyone else noticed just how poopy climate mentalists get when you describe their hobby horse as the "weather".

Doesn't sound very scientific when you say you study the weather.........

That is fair they agree something is happening. But do they all agree with what is causing the changes.

I read somewhere that some islands in the Pacific are getting bigger. Does this mean the seabed is rising and displacing the water elsewhere.

It is getting a bit contentious on the "other" forum. Someone even mentioned Jesus. I think a reference to a belief system.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?
I apologize if any offence was caused. unless it was intended.

I am a scientist! ( someone who systematically gathers and uses research and evidence)
When I moved to Bangkok they were predicting that within 30 years Bangkok would be a giant swimming pool, that was 31 years ago - someone is lying - or has a political agenda!
Most "scientists" unlike myself know that they best run with the ideology that is being preached else they will be mocked, stones will be cast in their direction and most importantly, they won't make any money!

Yeah, they really need to get an emotionally unstable female child that suffered/s from depression to scream and cry about it on TV.

Weren't they speaking about rising sea levels and general end-of-the-world scenarios some 10 years ago? And again 15 years ago. And before that, 20-25 years ago....continuum.

    So.....

    What's up?

Sea level rise due to climate change used to be a long term prospect if you care to read. Relevant in 100+ years. Recently prognoses have moved left, It may become a real problem much sooner.

Present Bangkok problems are unrelated, entirely homemade.

    "I read somewhere".

FFS if you can't source it, it's probably bollocks, or you didn't finish it.

Post a link or it's meaningless.

Most scientists know that their work has to stand up to peer review.

So you're about as much a scientist as I am a fucking nun.

Got into to debate once with a mate about about the sea level rising. I said to him if the sea level and the temperature is rising do we not get more evaporation. If so do we not get more rain. When we get more rain does it not cool down. That was the end of that debat.

Yeah, I think I'd probably end the "debat" <sic> at that point.
