Perhaps his wife left him. Stranger things have happened.

ok, he was a famous journalist, covering the region for a few press agencies, he just retired to work as the Embassy director of communication

got the alert this morning from the FCCT, he was also the Vice-President of the FCCT, quite a few of their members have been dying over the last few years

4pm, in a hot afternoon in Bangkok, I can see why he jumped from the station

probably depressed in his new job, or burnt out from his previous work

I could see why reading Buttplug's shit would drive his countrymen to want to end it all.

Jumped or fell? The story is quite ambiguous. The FCCT will have the gossip.

he was the foreigner correspondent for a few news organizations, and did extensive coverage of the red and yellow demonstrations, and was quite knowledgeable about the political situation here

burnout, depression of a boring job at a desk, and that heat, and possible marital problem with a Thai spouse (who doesn't have one), and you have the receipe for a last jump from the BTS station

My money was on him very pissed after a long lunch and some spatial confusion no doubt precipitated by the oppressive heat. He should've got a taxi.

Perhaps he knew a bit too much and was helped over the edge. Wouldn't be the first time.
