The use of marijuana for medical purposes became officially legal late Monday

Yeah, I wouldn't do that yet.

The law was signed by His Majesty the King two months after it was unanimously approved by the parliament. It legalizes the medical use and research of not only cannabis but also kratom.

Those eligible for marijuana possession or cultivation are patients with prescriptions, drug or health related government agencies, certified medical professionals, educational institutions, agricultural community enterprises registered with the state and international transportation operators.

Cultivation, however, must be approved and operated under the direct supervision of the Narcotics Control Board.

As proposed by the Food and Drug Administration,
individuals and organizations that already possess marijuana should notify regulators within 90 days to be legally pardoned.

What are the qualifications of being able to obtain a script? And can I obtain it from my local government hospital?

I read something earlier this week. It said that anxiety could be one thing that can have maryjane prescribed for.

I'm feeling quite anxious about all of this.
And I'm guessing that if you have a script, you will have to purchase from a licensed dispensary... I also guess that if you get privately sourced top-ups, you'd be pretty safe.
Mind you, I'm expecting the legally dispensed stuff will be edible, not smoking gear.

I was reading that taking marijuana gave you a 30% better result if taken as a suppository. Reason being is that you bypass the liver.

In that case it'll probably be easy to obtain at a psychiatric hospital.

Hmmm. I'm not sure sure bypassing the liver occurs completely. Whatever method of assimilation, it's all going to enter the bloodstream, however absorption through the rectum will result in some THC not going to the liver because it's venous blood vessels, but not all.. Suppository or edibles will have the benefit of not damaging the lungs by smoking.
When you say "better", do you mean more efficient use of a particular administered dose?
But perhaps we need our resident biologist Lu to pronounce what is best.

Is it not known to induce paranoia in receptible people or circumstances?

    Maybe they'll make vaping legal.

I don't know. Who told you that? I'm not paranoid. Are you out to get me? Why do you make that accusation? Who are you?

...yeah, I've heard it does induce paranoia in some people, sometimes. I guess the researchers know what they're doing, and I think the medical marijuana has a lower THC content and a higher T-something else content, so less of a narcotic.

One of the reasons I wouldn't touch it, it's about the last thing I'd turn to for anxiety.

Not bad. Veins in the upper part of the rectum drain to the portal system to the liver.

Veins in the lower part of the rectum drain into the systemic circulation and are returned to the heart - bypassing the liver.

So - if you do not shove it too far up, it would avoid an early detoxification step.

I'm not even going to ask why you are an expert on this subject.

and you're missing the larger point. for those of us who grew up in the US when marijuana possession was illegal, it was stunning when it became legal in various states for medical reasons. and then for it to become legal just to get high for no other reason than because someone wanted to is almost hard to believe. so yeah, considering the divide that has been crossed, even 20 years would be remarkably quick, AFAIC.
