Fingers crossed the insurers don't try for a cop out clause.

It's all about the small print.

I don't do diving into the shallow end or riding around on a motorbike pissed. That's where they mostly go wrong.

Sneaky bastards. First thing they did probably was get the doctors to take a blood test to see if her booze level was over 150mg per 100ml or simply the doctor saying "farang mau mak mak"

    https://www.insureandgo.com/media/13...w_adv_0918.pdf

Reading that lot basically the advice is - if you have a claim, say fuck all and bribe the doctors to say you were sober and not high on drugs

Then there often is the clause where one can insure"negligence" as a contributing circumstance - I always do.
Not the same as "reckless", though.

Start your own forum, then you can ban everyone that pisses you off.

To be fair, can used to be a good contributor.
The review of the Nana hotel as a family resort was top notch.

You are missing the point. I have been here for eight years and I am not going anywhere. These clowns are driving newcomers away and that is a shame. I have read a vast amount of the material on this forum and have learned a great deal and I would like it to be available and welcoming to new members so that they may also benefit.

Just look at the content of the disruptive ones. Why are they here? They have no meaningful lives of their own and like to think they are important here, that's why. They are too stupid to see that the forum is declining.

There's plenty for all to enjoy. Even snubs puts up sport threads, of repute, allegedly.

Please believe me when I say I am not trying to get rid of the good stuff. I want the moderators to prevent a few posters from picking on new members. A simple solution would be to get rid of the reputation system thus denying some disruptive people their only reason for being here.

I am forced to agree with you. How else could those people who occupy the top places in the reputation table have earned their places there ? It has to be connivance, multinicking and the abuse of the whole system. It is certainly not down to the quality of their input to the forum by way of posts made. A small group of members can easily rig the reputation system and I have proved this beyond doubt.

I am not concerned that these creatures are towards the top of a list of itself. I am worried that their elevated status ,by virtue of their position in it, gives them the ability to damage the reputation of new members. Now, I am not bothered by getting their "reds" and I have received them continuously over many years and in fact I have received four today from four of the most useless members of this forum. There is no need for me to name them as most here will easily guess at least two of their names.

What worries me is that newcomers are treated badly by the "reds" issued by these people. The result is clear and obvious - the number of posters actively posting declines, hardly any posts are made by new members. If this is what the majority of members here are content with, it is time for me to leave again. I can never lower myself to be a member of a ruling clique. I want no contact with these dregs. It is up to the decent guys here to change their behaviour.

Sure they would. I've done many "investigations" for insurance companies. They will hire an expert on a consultant basis to provide an expert opinion on a "subject". They purchase your opinion. If your opinion supports their case it may be used in a court of law. Also, due to the many cases of "insurance fraud" investigations are common.

Usually a case that makes it to litigation will be their experts testimony versus your experts testimony.

But, yes, an insurance company will investigate. It does depend on the dollar value, and, or course, a "paralysis" case would have the potential for very large medical costs. So, again, based on the potential dollars involved - the insurance company will fund an investigation.

Could be she didn't look, just careless, or even saw kids dive in and followed without thinking; we'll never know. While copouts include negligence as standard, there's a fine line between that and accidents or a moment of distraction.
