THAI & DRY Will Thailand be the next country to tire of boozy Brits? Locals overrun by drunk tourists behaving badly in country’s top holiday spots
With Thailand due to receive 37.5million tourists this year, Brits are flocking to the nation's beautiful beaches and party capital, Bangkok, to let their hair down.

THAILAND is often the first stop for Brits who fancy an exotic holiday – and also want to party hard.
The country’s relaxed attitude to alcohol has meant that the backpacking haven attracts droves of tourists who want to go on a bender, with tourism booming year-on-year.
Women are seen embracing on the floor on Bangkok's Khao San RoadIn neighbouring Cambodia, British tourists are facing a year behind bars after performing alleged “pornographic dancing” at a pool party.
The five are part of a larger group of 10 arrested by police at a wild pool party where bikini-clad and shirtless tourists allegedly played a Twister-style "sex position game," at a rented villa in Siem Reap - near the Angkor Wat temples.
While bordering Thailand is far more relaxed in terms of the law than Cambodia, the antics of some Brits are more than enough to shock residents - as often seen in Europe, too.
With the country expecting 37.5million tourists into cities such as Bangkok and its idyllic beaches this year, the drunken carnage is only going to keep on increasing.

The area is known for its bars and clubs – which tourists flock to in their droves.
In his pictures, youngsters can be seen drinking in the street, and also taking laughing gas - which is illegal in the UK.
While some are seen slumped on the pavement, one man is seen having a full-on sleep with his top off.

A couple get close on a night out and don't seem to mind who's watching. While many are having a great time, there's an overwhelming sense that the fun has gone too far for some, with girls embracing on the floor, and one woman leaning her head on a table, looking as if she'd much rather be somewhere else.
Meanwhile Brits rang in the New Year in the Thai resort of Hua Hun - with a punch-up.

One tourist picks up a local girl, who wraps her legs around his waist. The fists flew just minutes after the clocks struck 12am in the country and the group had to be separated by locals and other tourists.
At one point during the bust-up one of the tourists was thrown to the ground by another member of the group after wrestling with him, while bar workers were trying to separate the men.
In a video, women can be heard shouting: "Please stop" but they are ignored, as others run into the bars for their own safety.

The man, who filmed the fight told the Mirror: "The British are well known here."
And a British man was arrested in Pattaya after bar girl Wannipa Janhuathon was found dead after plunging from a fifth-floor balcony after a night of "strange and extravagant sex".
Thailand has also recently introduced a smoking ban on its beaches due to littering from tourists.
With tourists leaving cigarette butts and litter behind, it’s become a concern for the government as well as environmental health groups.
Over on Haad Rin, the Full Moon parties are now attended by thousands each month
A woman dances in a tiny bikini on the beach. Bannaruk Sermthong, director at the Office of Marine and Coastal Resources Management told Reuters: “Starting today, smoking and cigarette-butt littering are prohibited on beach areas.
“Anyone who wants to smoke must do so in designated smoking areas, not on the beaches.”
Another photographer, Paula Bronstein, captured people partying at the Full Moon Party on Haad Rin on the island of Koh Phangan.
The once-deserted beach has now been taken over by droves of tourists who flock to the hedonistic raves on the beach.
The parties started in 1985 with just a few revellers, but have since grown to accommodate up to 30,000 people around the full moon.
The Full Moon parties run from dusk until dawn
Party goers start to get closer as the alcohol kicks in - many will have been drinking notorious buckets. Tourists guzzle down buckets of booze which are filled with vodka or other spirits and energy drinks.
The results are clear from Paula's photos, which show revellers covered in glow paint partying on the beach - but it doesn't always end well.

A hospital boat takes these revellers away to be treated - one man has been injured in a motorbike accident. In another picture, a woman in an ill-fitting bikini is dancing on the beach - without realising that someone else is putting a camera close to her behind to film her.
In other pictures, drunk partygoers from China attend a medical clinic just off the beach in Haad Rin.
While one woman looks to be a very bad state, a man dress as clown looks on at her suffering in the street.

The boat back home from the party is quite a bleak sight. The effects of the party can also be seen in a grim photo of a boat sailing back at the end of the party.
The party is firmly over in this picture - while some are sleeping the booze off on the boat, others look like they might be feeling sick - or regretting decisions made the night before.

And another man gets a tattoo of a moon on his finger to permanently mark the occasion - and looks like he might already be regretting the decision.
