Good points, they have nothing to do with Yingluck's "escape"...

Son visiting his mother abroad is not an issue, what does the Junta expect from him? Civil arrest in a foreign country and arranging her deportation??

As for the blurred lady, probably a Thai expat who recognised her in the shop/street and shared a picture because she's popular despite the Junta efforts to make Thai people despise her...

Reliable sources are suggesting they'll be back unexpectedly.

A cycle of events are looming for Thailand.

    Patience.

Thai police to urge Interpol to help track down Ms Yingluck

    January 06, 2018 | By Thai PBS

The police chief noted that the Thai police had received good cooperation from the Interpol, but they were yet to confirm the ex-premier’s whereabouts. He said his deputy, Pol Gen Srivara Rangsibrahmanakul, had been compiling the latest information about Ms Yingluck to be forwarded to the Interpol through the Thai Interpol to help locate her whereabouts.

Meanwhile, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Ms Busadee Santipitak denied that the ministry had received the latest information about the fugitive former prime minister, but she was sure that Ms Yingluckj did not use Thai passport for her travelling because all of her Thai passports had been revoked.

Mr Thanakrit Worathanatchakul, a prosecutor attached to the Office of the Attorney-General said Ms Yingluck could be granted the status of being a humanitarian refugee for five years if she could prove to the satisfaction of British authorities that she was afraid that she could be persecuted, bullied or given unfair trial if she was to return to Thailand.

OAG deputy spokesman Prayuth Petkhun said that the OAG would coordinate for Ms Yingluck’s extradition in case she was to be extradited to Thailand to stand trial.

Do you think she has a case for asylum, is her life really going to be in danger if she returns to the land of smiles.

Of course she does. Don't you realise this is all a game, being played out via the media to placate, or perturb in other cases, the great unwashed? The real game is happening elsewhere, far removed from scrutiny.

Err, lest anyone continues to think any political figure from Thailand who makes a claim for asylum under the provisions of the 1951 Convention protocols may not qualify, might I remind them the country remains under the dictatorship of a military junta that seized power by force more than three years ago and suspended the rule of law that had prevailed under the hitherto democratically elected governments, the last of which was led by the then PM Yingluck.
The thing is, Y.S may not have applied for asylum at all but has chosen to enter the UK as a visitor in possession of a passport of convenience obtained by her from another country, qualification for which was met through prodigious wealth e.g. Costa Rica. Montenegro.

    No. A bail-jumper is also a fugitive.

That would be found in the Homosexual version of " Punch and Judy " children's puppet show. Even crocodiles have gender equality issues and children should be made aware of this by seeing Pink crocodiles in kiddies shows.
