Wedding guest shot dead at bride’s home

A 25-year-old man was shot and killed last night (Aug 2) after he engaged in heated argument with a guest at a wedding party in Pak Payoon district of Phatthalung.

The victim was identified as Tawatchai Nualead, 25, a resident of Pak Payoon.

He was shot on the chest and body and died at the scene. Police found two cases of 9mm cartridges at the scene.

Investigation later revealed that Chalongrat Dammai, 45, held a wedding party for her daughter at home. Karaoke singing and music playing were also performed to entertain guests at the party.

Tawatchai came in and joined the party. However, he got drunk and began to speak loudly disturbing other guests at the party. Two shots were fired and he fell to the ground.

Police said the gunman then escaped.

South folk, says it all. All those fuckers carry weapons everywhere, all the time. It's the Wild West and most communities resolve their difference through extra-judicial means. Still, shooting a wedding guest is bad form, even for them.

    foam, blather, blast, blowhard..........

if the forums most prolific user of stereotyping, sweeping generalisations and unsubstantiated judgemental criticism says so ( cf. yorkshire folk, manual labourers, brexiteers, thai men, thai women, the british, swarthy folk, tories etc.etc.) then naturally it must be true.

That is such a horrible thing to do.

Think of that big gang of brave thai men cruelly denied the opportunity to beat him unconscious, and then to death.

I live in the south. Only ever heard of one shooting-in-anger in the years I've been here.
There've been accidents (Russian roulette or dumb lack of safety), there's been robbers shot, and premeditated murders (your usual stuff nation-wide), but very few heat of the moment shoot-the-bastard in anger.
    As far as I know.
    Just saying.

Gert spoke to mum the other day one of her brothers was at the wedding so i got the full story. Her brothers wife and children live in Phatthalung. He normally just drives back there for the weekend but left work early in Pattani to go to the wedding reception.
About a month ago Gert got a phone call from Phatthalung police trying to reach her brother his bike had been stolen, we are in Blighty for summer but her Thai sim is registered her brothers sim isn't. So she had to call her brother so he could contact the police in Phatthalung to sort the problem out. The bike wasn't stolen he just let someone borrow it whilst he was working in Pattani for the week
Was a bit odd getting a call from the Thai police whilst we are over in Blighty though feared the worst but luckily it was nothing other than a mistake by the police. Good to see that they were checking details though, stolen motorbikes are often used to plant bombs on down South.
Fascists dress in black and go around telling people what to do, whereas priests... more drink!

What? The first line was a good start but you seem to have then gone off on a wild tangent. What has any of that got to do with being a guest at the wedding or the full story?
