Altogether 74 gamblers were rounded up at an illegal gambling den in Samut Prakan province on Saturday a combined force of the military and police.
Acting of a tipoff from unidentified residents in the same neighbourhood of the illegal gambling den in Soi Tessabaan Bangpoo 47 in Tambon Tai Ban Mai, Muang district, about 30 local police and troops from the First Army Region were dispatched to a one-storey building surrounded by a two-metre high wall to investigate.
The officials broke into the premise and managed to apprehend 74 gamblers, including 36 women and 38 men.
They also seized one gambling table, 1,440 sets of cards, 337,000 baht in cash, three computers, three LCD monitors, 17 CCTV cameras and one printer.
Two men, identified as Supat Kongchampee and Kasem Thanom-iad, admitted that they operated the gambling den.
