Bangkok dad empties his .38 into lazy, aggressive son

Bangkok dad fed up with his lazy, aggressive son empties his .38 into him

A Bangkok father who claimed he was assaulted frequently by his lazy son finally had enough. He picked up a .38 gun and shot him five times in the head and body.

Police in the Rathanathibet area of Nonthaburi found 42 year old Nammon Thetkaew dead in the family living room at a two story house in Ngam Wong Wan Road Soi 31.

The shooter – his father Winai Thetkaew, 73 – had fled the scene in an Isuzu pick-up truck.

The victim’s mother Arom said she was awaken by the sound of gunfire downstairs and went to see what was happening. She found her own son lying dead in a pool of blood. The victim was the couple’s youngest child.

The victim and his father were always arguing, she told police. The father scolded him for not having a job while the son damaged property and assaulted his father frequently, said Arom.

Police hunted for the shooter and he was soon found trying to pawn a gold ring at a pawn shop in Ngam Wong Wan Road Soi 23.

He was arrested and the murder weapon was retrieved.

At the station Winai admitted everything, reports said. Following the murder Winai said he had taken pictures of what he done on a phone. He then went to develop the pictures.

After that he got a haircut then went to a local temple to make merit.

Then he went to the pawn shop where the police made the arrest.

He was charged with murder and detained.

Maybe he should have waited until the son attacked him again and then shoot his son in self defense. Sad.

He emptied his .38 into him!

Who wrote that heading, 2 pac?

Not condoning the murder, but a son should never raise a hand to his father.
    (or mother) needless to say...

My dad once threatened to 'put me in hospital' when I was 19. I'd played loud music and been drinking. My first such misdemeanour at that age. I could have easy beat him down but yes, you never raise a hand to your own father.

Just take the phone or memory card to a photography shop and they'll download the photos to their computer then print them off. I've done it myself.

Which is nowhere near the same thing as developing pictures.

Agreed, he put up with the BS for 20+ years. That is with the assumption the lazy 40 year old never held a job.

I expect it is what they meant. Danny Boy would know.

Never say never. Should not be routine, but in the extreme might be necessary.

In this case, we'll prolly never know the son's side of the story.

Never ever hit My Dad, but I did have a standoff, As a little kid I always vowed that when I got big and stronger I would stand up to him, and when I was about 19 the usual drunk came home late at night and awoke all of us again with his drunken rants. Repeating the same drunked slurring shit over and over till eventually I snapped and and told him what I thought of him.
He swayed in front of me but didn't dare hit me, he could see I was no longer afraid.

^ As a young fella, I did the same to my old man.He was not a drunk, but to be fair I was just a prick. Told him that I was going to shove a broom up his arse...after he told me to sweep the path outside our house.l was 16.

He dropped me like a sack of spuds. I thought I was tough. He did help me up though...

    ''Respect your elders''

And as kids we stuck by it. Many young lads grow up in fatherless households nowadays in the UK, and given the laws on disciplining your own kids now, I'd hate to be a parent.

I had depression couselling when I was 25, and they asked if my dad hit me as a kid, I said yes. They said 'why?' I said 'because I was bad' then they tried to tell me this was the reason I was depressed.

Only went once after that. Load of bollocks

Being going on since Oedipus Rex...

    Freud says,

"His destiny moves us only because it might have been ours — because the oracle laid the same curse upon us before our birth as upon him. It is the fate of all of us, perhaps, to direct our first sexual impulse towards our mother and our first hatred and our first murderous wish against our father. Our dreams convince us that this is so.”

yep i'd have to condone ur ol mans actions. i hope u managed to thank im for the good it done ya.

over the years ive had the unfortunate cause to correct other peoples grown sons. two of then came and thanked me for addressing them. one bought me a beer and shook my hand. i'd still rather there own fathers were adult enough to have done it themselves. bring back national service, might solve a few sociol probs.

Father 73 and son of 42. He left it rather late in life to decide his son needed disciplining.
