Angry Woman ignores breast cancer then tuk tuk husband abandons her.

A young mother claims she was abandoned by her husband when he discovered she had terminal cancer.
Wiramon Inthaneth, 36, was diagnosed with breast cancer six months ago but the disease crippled her so badly she could no longer work or properly take care of herself or her family.
When the Thai woman's condition was left untreated, it developed into large red and purple mounds protruding from her chest.
The disease worsened so rapidly it left her grossly disfigured.

Ms Inthaneth reportedly suffers from such severe pain she travels back and forth to hospital each day for treatment.
When she was allegedly abandoned by her husband, the Thai woman moved in with her father who works as a taxi driver.

Her father scrapes together just enough money to afford Ms Inthaneth's medical bills.
In a remarkable twist of fate, a Thai holyman reached out to Ms Inthaneth and her family with a kind offer of help.

Monk Bhin offered to provide for the family and went on to raise further funds for the tragedy-stricken mother.
He said he was so shaken by the state he found Ms Inthaneth he was compelled to help.
'The day I visited her she was crying because she has such a difficult time taking care of her daughter with her only income coming from her father,' Monk Bhin said.
'She is only alive because she gets willpower from her family. She needs money for her daughter and to buy medicine but she doesn't know how long she can survive.'
While Monk Bhin supported the family, he also appealed for help from the community.
He has reached out for further support for the young, terminally-ill mother on social media in the hope she might spend her final days more comfortably.

Very sad story - Cancer takes no prisoners.

Can I say 'God bless' the good Samaritans that helped her?

    I just did, sorry.

I suppose her fate is sealed now, pity they didn't/couldn't operate much sooner.

I hope she has all the good strong painkillers she could ever want.

This country is kinda stingy in that regard. Her last days could be an inhumane nightmare.

She shouldn't need to be in agony, and by all rights should get some comfort, and I hope she does.

    Fuck, that's horrendous...poor woman.

My missus' Mum just got through breast cancer/masectomy etc, would have been fucking awful to watch her go through this for lack of funds to get it treated...

Shows how lucky we are in the UK to have the NHS.

She isn't ever going to get better.

Za, she is going to die soon because it's cancer and never got treatment.

Now it's too late and she is going to die a painful & tragic death.

It's cancer. That's what it does.

Yep. Force a terminal cancer patient to make daily hospital trips for dying pain relief.

    Nice one Thailand.

Education and early diagnosis is great in hindsight.
This poor woman left it and left it till it was too late.
To top it all the shit of a husband deserts her in her hour of need.
The person that gives her a wad of 1000 baht notes has to have their pic taken showing their generosity.
    A sad sobering story .

Absolutely. My mom found something but thought it was a swollen lymph node. My Dad actually talked her out of going to get it checked out due to his own irrational fear of traditional medicine.

A few months later I heard her mention a swollen lymph node that hadn't gone away. Didn't really think much of it, but kind of in passing I asked her where it was. She told me. I have a medical background and asked her to let me examine it. Three weeks later she was being prepped for surgery

    Yeah, that struck me too.
Effing system wants to legalise yaba but won't trust a dying woman in immense pain to have a week's worth of morphine patches....or to let someone collect the day's worth for her.
    Crazy illogical, irrational buffoons.

    FYI;

4 x 60 ml. liquid morphine for snap relief.
    60 x 10mg slow release morphine tablets.

from the local clinic costs 1,200 baht.

1000 tramadol tabe costs 3000 baht. from the chemist - if you can persuade them to sell them.

Morphine taken orally does nothing, especially for a dying person.

No idea where you are getting any of this in any kind of simple manner, except for the Tramadol.

Tramadol wouldn't even touch this lady. Thailand is pretty bad for this tbh

I've no doubt you might be right but in my experience oral liquid morphine taken every 4 hours does reduce pain a lot.
20mg slow release morning and night keeps things level and then I use the liquid for the bad days.
The tramadol can help but it's not as effective as morphine.

We go to the local village clinic and Dr. Pittipat makes out a script for a months supply which I then take to the clinic pharmacy, pay the money and collect the stuff.

By the way I have Multiple Myeloma and a decaying spine. So a bit of pain involved.

Whatever works and thankfully you've found a way to manage your pain in this country.

I just keep thinking there are so many better pain management options out there than oral morphine.

In all seriousness, oral morphine, at that dose is basically nothing. No BS they give more effective pain management at a local dentist in the US. Im not even sure Thailand has a pain medication other than Morphine. Tramadol does nothing for me at all.

Its good you are satisfied, but I would worry a bit about that doctor fucking off. Might have a hard time finding a similar situation with another doctor.

Cheers, I wouldn't say I'm satisfied, it's more a matter of putting up with what you've got.
I also want to make it clear that I'm not in anyway denigrating this poor womans awful situation and the agony she must be in.
I've been lucky enough to be treated in Australia and whilst there's no cure there is an element of control and that's all I can ask for the next couple of years. This poor woman seems to have no control over the situation at all. One can only hope that she gets the financial and emotional support to get her through to the end.

I have a colleague whose sister has breast cancer as well, stage four. The sis also ignored the symptoms. Story was, she didn't want to know & didn't want her kids to worry as she's a single mom. Fortunately, she has a supportive family - siblings are all professionals & they all contribute to the expenses. She's now home-bound & can now move about in a wheelchair. Before, she was bedridden. They all know what's going to happen & try to make her as comfortable as possible. Cancer sucks.

I hope the woman in the OP gets the care that she needs.
