Davis, no wonder you Johnnies screwed up so badly in Nam. You simply can't see the wood for the bloody trees.

Now, sort yourself out and get that brain into some sort of order.

Tax has seen the light, why can't you?

You're usually pretty good at this stuff, thegent; I'll give you that...But you're relatively new here since that "reincarnation" a short while back...

Your "brain" wasn't "in order" that day on Sukhumvit Soi 5...You're a lucky man to still be alive...

Jeez. It's true then that BKK bars are full of ex-CIA and ex-Delta force type chaps.

Not sure about that but I'll wager there are more than a few wondering whether those 'official' documents that they bought from LaFon are going to pass scrutiny at immigration next time they visit.

Eyewitness flies in to assist body-in-freezer probe

POLICE will today interview a key eyewitness who flew in from abroad to assist the investigation into the death of a man whose dismembered body was found in a freezer in Bangkok last month.

The remains of Charles Edward Ditlefsen, a US citizen of Hungarian descent, were discovered during a raid on a building in Sukhumvit Soi 56 that led to the arrest of three suspected passport forgers.

In announcing the latest development, city police chief Lt-General Sanit Mahathaworn also said the interrogation of two American suspects, James Douglas Eger, 63, and Aaron Thomas Gabel, 40, at Bangkok Remand Prison on Monday had yielded useful information.

He refused to elaborate, although the pair continued to deny all charges during over six hours of interrogation.

Sanit said police had interviewed around 20 witnesses so far and would today hear testimony of the eyewitness who had come from another country.

Another alleged gang member, Herbert Craig La Fon, 63, has claimed that his friend, American citizen Robert Logan Grandy, who died from cancer earlier this year, was the person involved in Ditlefsen's death. La Fon has been receiving treatment for injuries in the Police General Hospital.

    'Truth serum’ found on corpse

AN initial test found traces of a substance on the corpse of an American man whose dismembered body was found in a freezer during a police raid at a building in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit Soi 56 last month, said city police chief Lt-General Sanit Mahathaworn yesterday.

Sanit said unofficial test results showed chemicals had been used on the body but police were waiting for detailed test results from Chulalongkorn University's Forensic Science Department.

A source reported that the test found sodium thiopental, which is colloquially known as "truth serum", in the man’s liver at a ratio of 354.84 nanograms per one gram of tissue. The chemical is used at hospitals as anaesthesia to induce sleep.

The side effect of inducing drowsiness has led to its reported use as a so-called "truth serum".

Chemical markers indicated that the substance was probably administered to the man while he was still alive.

Sanit said that police were also waiting for confirmation from the US Embassy whether the deceased man was American businessman Charles Edward Ditlefsen, which should be available in the next one to two weeks.

Sanit said police would investigate at least 10 additional aspects of the case and discuss their findings and progress in a meeting later this week.

During the September 23 raid, three American men - Herbert Craig La Fon, 63, James Douglas Eger, 63, and Aaron Thomas Gabel, 40 - were arrested on suspicion of passport forgery and other charges, while police discovered the dismembered body inside a commercial freezer at the same building.

    More likely than not.

They'd already grabbed his passport, were forging others, so forging his signature to get his pension was no problem.
