Instead, the experiment produced an acetylated form of morphine one and a half to two times more potent than morphine itself. The head of Bayer's research department reputedly coined the drug's new name, "heroin," based on the German heroisch, which means "heroic, strong" (from the ancient greek word "heros, ήρως"). Bayer scientists were not the first to make heroin, but their scientists discovered ways to make it, and Bayer led commercialization of heroin"

seems a long stretch. or did he come and go to the clinic of his own free will.

usually 3 months does it with further work outside in an area miles away from where he used to buy or live, preferably a million miles.
3 months having a urine test at 09.00 and again at 18.00 each day at whilst waiting for a residential place. 6 months in the rehab centre then 6 months in a shared house with others who have been through the programme. He was the youngest in there at 25. He shared the house with a teacher a nurse and a engineer. He is clean and happy now, fingers crossed.
Anyone who wants more info is welcome to pm me or those that are local to me know where to find me.

Tell him to keep himself fit.

It will rid him of any depression cause he will be doing something for himself.
Which isn't easy. Take back control of his own situation.

    Just a personal opinion.

Your advice is sound, he is back to the gym, fit as a fiddle.
Depression really was following him around, that black dog has not been seen for months.
    Thank you for your interest.
