It's not really real mental illness but learned and reinforced behaviours that aren't corrected early. The same goes for sociopathy as for neurosis.
Some it is what I would call real mental illness - psychosis - where the hardware is damaged and this a whole different ball game. This looks more like manic-depressive neurosis. Someone very cut off from external influences over a long period of time.
    There's a lotta truth here.

All a bit Hollywood/ Fox News methinks..
Thousands commit suicide every day without any web site/social media fanfare.
Guess we should be thankful that he did not take any innocents with him like so many religious zealots.
What about all the anonymous soldiers that top themselves from PTSD etc....

555…before you all shit on me for being a heartless barstard, consider:?
Would there be such outpourings of grief and sympathy to some anonymous old lady/man in @#$%^&* country that walked off to die to save being a burden to his/her family in time of drought and potential starvation? I think not?

Just very sad that a bloke like that was so intent on topping himself- intelligent, young, decent looking, no serious health issues, and it would seem from the comments at the end- with a supportive family. RIP, but his blaming nihilism doesn't do it for me. Amplifying his own problems way beyond context through excessive self absorption, closer to the mark. Doubt they will read this, but sincere condolences to his family.
