NAKHON SI THAMMARAT — A man who admitted stealing three coconuts for his pregnant wife is in jail after being unable to come up with 50,000 baht in compensation demanded by an angry orchard owner.

Naruebet Phetchumpol, 25, was arrested at his rented house in tambon Na Pho of Thung Song district on Saturday. Police seized three stolen coconuts there.

Mr Naruebet, a hired hand who earns 200 baht a day tapping latex.....

In our home countries too, vengeful victims are often more disgusting than the criminal, though not to this degree.

That happens at my place, the harvesters even stored their pruning hooks in my back yard!!

When asked, they claimed them, and any coconuts (to which I'm partial) because no one told them not to,.....in the past.

Fruit , vegetables and electrical goods she had let him off many times before.
Said she was fed up and doesn't want the 50,000.

Bullshit. if a Thai had taken another Thai's property without his knowledge and permission and it amounted to anything of a value (i.e 20 baht ) they would be straight to the local police or the head man quicker than a whore drops her knickers for a John.
