The Defense Council has endorsed a proposed amendment to a ministerial regulation to allow a Thai national to serve in the armed forces if just one parent has Thai citizenship.
Back to the original thread. Back in 2014 this was a proposed amendment, does anyone know if it the amendment has now been completed?
So currently.....half thais cannot be conscripted then by the sounds of it.....awesome

I think that Luk Krung are eligibles to national conscription, the news is about enrolling voluntarily as a professionnal soldier/officer...

I've always told my lad if it ever gets to the point of having to turn up and pick just refuse to understand a single thing they say and speak only English and a lot of it.
They will shit themselves and kick him out the door, unless they really do want a rugby player then he'd be in the first team within the hour, but generally they don't like foreigners near the rugby team either.....
Does anyone know when they actually have to do something about it, he'd have to go to the South to talk with them, but he'll be safely in the UK in University for a fair time to come....
Our son was refused entry because no record can be found of his father,i have brought him up as my own son since the age of six.
He is twenty now when he went down south to sign up they said no.
Gert hasn't heard from his father in over 12 years he did get married again we got a phone call years ago from his wife saying that he had gone missing.
