    Officials told to update laws for submission to NLA for consideration

    Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has instructed all authorities concerned to update laws and regulations which are deemed obsolete so that they can be submitted to the National Legislative Assembly for consideration.
    The prime minister pointed out that since the government’s term in the office is about one year, there is a need for rush especially the need to update various obsolete laws and regulations which are blamed for causing social disparity who which do not correspond with the current circumstances.

    In the meantime, the prime minister has encouraged governmental agencies, private sector and the public to use more locally-made products in order to stimulate the economy.

    He also expressed concern with the erratic weather conditions with some parts of the country being affected with flooding whereas the other parts of the country are facing drought.

    He also instructed officials of the Interior Ministry and Ministry of Tourism to take better care of tourists and to see to it that tourist destinations are safe.

    Obviously there's a need to update the law so coups are legal in Thailand. Perhaps it can even be added to a new constitution.
