Koojo you are making the same mistake that others are. The Bangkok cops are not there to solve the crime but to get in on the action. You need to stop thinking of them as proper police and more as a bunch of money grabbing crooks.

I really hope the poor parents don't see those pics, shameful that this is allowed in Thailand.

My first thought as well. Is anyone in the police force or government expressing their aghast at the heinous nature of this killing? The only thing I see is TAT saying tourism will recover.

Bangkok BIB/KT BIB/KP BIB, they're all in cahoots together. You really think Bangkok and KT BIB, didn't quickly tag team on this whole tragic situation?

Let's not forget, the village head man and his ilk are the bosses and paymasters for KT BIB. I've no doubt in the world DNA samples have already been tampered with and sabotaged.

No he wouldnt, the current PM silenced both the Reds and Yellow shirts with a click of his fingers . Prayruth (sp) and his army are currently stamping out police corruption, yes, it wont be done overnight, but the police are no longer immune to the law . Pryruth has stood up against the whole Thai political establishment and also the Thai police force , do you think that he will be intimidated by a headman of a small village .

So what? That does nothing to the case at all, other than possibly explaining why he was working in a beach bar as far from home as he could get.

So....it's still the biggest and best equipped army in SE Asia. The PM (army General) can fire any of the BIB senior command and appoint whoever he likes.

We're talking about the army versus the BIB here, and the BIB are very much subordinate to the army. It's not the Thaksin era any more.

The army owns Thailand...and the BIB are a very distant second in terms of power or influence.

Did I misunderstand the current investigation ? I thought that the headmans son has been arrested and is being interrogated and the other son is on the run and being hunted by the authorities and they ve made it known that anyone who harbours him will also face prosecution .

If that were true (I have no idea but doubt it) then it doesn't change the point made, that the Thai army in their current state of power is like a farm cat with the Thai police being a mouse.
