i doubt very much that a full on armed "french revolution" style struggle will occur. If an armed struggle ensues
thais at every level have too much to lose, so it wont happen.
a few skirmishes, grenade hurlings and drive by's maybe, a few poor innocents will be killed and maimed as is normal during these upheavals, but thats all.
eventually some arrests and incarcerations on both sides will ensure mutual faces are saved and pride not diminished too much, both sides will declare themselves the best of friends, thais at heart, best country and people in the world etc.etc.etc., grinning generals, police chiefs and protest leaders will be seen in an orgy of self congratulation, mutual back slapping and some serious wai-ing will occur but life will probably carry on very much as before in the land of the free.
the "peasant class" may be thrown some crumbs, e.g. some infrastructure projects and some subsidies to soften the blow, but the elite will hardly be affected at all.
they rarely are.
