The fact is, she can't.
I'm also well aware that Thaksin is probably doing a lot behind the scenes from his exile. I'm not aware of that being illegal.
As for this:
You have to be the dumbest fucking Seppo ever to believe that piece of shit. Thankfully the Isaan rice farmers have a bit more intellect than you and will not stand for democracy being taken away from them.Originally Posted by TonyBKK

I assume this comes from the red shirt protest that resulted in the burning of parts of Bangkok. These cases are still in the processes of workong there way through the court system. Do we have documented proof of all these accusations, I have heard some of this may actually have been perpetrated by the red shirts to discredit the dems, after seeing the destruction the red shirts caused in Bangkok it seems a plausible theory.

Cycling should be banned!!!
just got back from Khon kaen, after visiting with my wife"s uncle, i met up with some of his red shirt associates was a very interesting night, met with some hardline supporters and moderates who are being held back by some influential people.
Just to cut it short anyone who thinks Suthep and co have the upperhand in any of this, is really mistaken.
These guys are totally committed to fighting for what they believe in, from what i was told they are being held back as there is a lot going on behind the scenes, they are waiting to see what happens.
many of these people don't love Thaksin though they respect him, for waking them up ,they know he's corrupt as they come, though would prefer he disappeared off the scene, as one such person put it to me, its our fight now, and we fight for the people of this country not for the people with the money.
Its a real shame i not speak Thai i could of learnt a lot more from them and what they are doing.
And these people it seems are not being paid, there in it for themselves.

I am really not disputing what you are saying, what I am saying is there is more to the situations during the 2010 protest and attempted dispearsal of the protestors than stating what you have have stated in your reply.I think as I remember the redshirts were given ample warning if they did not disband they would be pushed out, they decided to stay and fight the govt. forces. Not saying what is right or what is wrong but there are two sides to every story, to claim Suthep to be a mass murder without a conviction seems a bit premature. Of cource you surely have the right to your opinion, no dispute there.
True. But: 1) this does not change the historic facts or his part in it; 2) the issue is the two tiered approach, time after time. One rule for the reds - extreme army response, court cases, convictions, etc. For the yellows, no army response (worse still, the army protect them...), no court cases (very few, very slow...), no convictions.Originally Posted by RPETER65

It is clear that the bluebloods are very happy to slaughtered the people every decade or so - but they are untouchable.
This is true. But, we can certainly say he is totally courrupt, a liar and a thug - the worst type of politican (yes, there are many like him on all sides), and one that you certainly would NOT support for democratic strengthening; we certainly have enough evidence from many years to say that.Originally Posted by RPETER65

True when samak came into power there was supposed to be a enquiry and all political camps army and police decided not to push as all were involved.
Privy councilor Phicit called on the govt to establish a court and announced if we execute 60,000 the land will rise and are descendants will escape bad karma.
so he had the backing of the privy council and above.
Which is exactly what will happen this time, too. While it might theoretically be a good thing if Thailands aging political oligarchs were jailed en masse', it just ain't gonna happen. But there are bigger events to worry about now.Originally Posted by Yasojack

they will send 1000 idiots to die if there is a coup and the rest will go into hiding
Watching the TV news tonight ( channel 9 ) and they were saying that the protesters funds are getting lower hence the move to Lumpini. A small fortune has been spent by various people with not too much to show for it. The expected ( by them ) coup did not materialise and they are perhaps getting worried about not being able to recoup their investment.
One really concrete result has been that the Democrats chances of ever winning any future election have gone right out the window. They will of course retain their block votes from the south but a lot of fence sitters elsewhere will vote for almost anyone but the dems .
