Yes....
Very Thai.
All airlines do this after an incident to avoid publicity, SOPs.
Not Thai.
In Thailand there are special circumstances falng no understand
Some of the time you can piss on all of the people
You can shoot some of the people all of the time
You can drive and run over cops if You have Redbullshit
Defacing the Thai flag is an act of less majeste ?
In the Airline News Thread are examples of other airlines doing the same - this is standard procedure.
Must have been a fucking huge crayon.....
Looks like a paint roller was used. I haven't seen this with other airlines (though I'm not saying they don't do it), but I have seen it with food outlets, KFC and McDonald's when there is an attack by anarchists, a major crime, defacing or riot, etc.
My mind is not for rent to any God or Government, There's no hope for your discontent - the changes are permanent!
It was fabric they draped and obviously taped over it. Before they got out the luggage or attempted to tow it away. They are offering 200 bucks to bizz class and 100 to economy if you were not injured and your luggage is late.
I thought SOP dictates that the first officer (or whoever is NOT flying the plane) confirms gear down to the pilot and calls out "three green" or something like that to indicate the gear is down and locked.
Our lives have become nothing short of public relation extensions.
Pathetic.
Why didn't they use white paint.
Looks dumb-ass
"Some 20 passengers were injured when a Thai Airways Airbus A380 hit severe turbulence as it was descending to Hong Kong's airport two weeks ago."
In a sick way, which I'll probably live to regret, I've always wanted to hit some severe turbulence.
Anybody got some stories?
I would post pictures but life's too short.
I hear they were planning to spray paint the Captain black too, but decided against it as Human Rights Watch would claim they were trying to suggest the pilot was a black man.
yup, flying across the Alps when I was 11. A Caravelle it was, the pilot announced turbulence but the crew kept serving. Boom we hit it, the steward flies and hits the ceiling and flops back down. Tries to get up and falls. Compound fracture of tibia and fibula. Lots of blood, quite cool for a kid.
Bottom line I never will forget it. Everything went straight up when we dropped. No seatbelt a major problem. Mine has been on, loosely at times ever since then.

I have decided to use this tag from now on.
It's stupid really. They hide the logo "on the recommendation of star lliance" yet the star alliance logo is plain to see.
Who were they trying to hide it from? The airport workers? Everyone else was duly informed that it was a Thai airways flight and any regular traveller would recognise the Thai airways colour scheme anyway.
This just made them look stupid and how very Thai for them to do that and try to deny reonsibility for their actions. " it wasn't us! "
Fahn Cahn's
They should have quickly knocked up an Orient Thai logo and slapped that on, may as well blame someone else if they were going to deny it was them, just like kids....
