Australian dies in his Central Pattaya apartment

A 63 year old Australian man collapsed and died in his Central Pattaya apartment on Tuesday in front of his wife. Police and rescue services were called to the Pattaya Pat Condo apartments in Soi Nokow, Central Pattaya and to the apartment of Mr. Robert William Greenfield who lives with his Thai Wife Khun Somjit aged 47.

She told Police that on Tuesday Morning she awoke early and heard her Husband being ill in their bathroom. He was also complaining of chest pains. Khun Somjit went to a nearby Pharmacy and purchased medication and when she returned Mr. Greenfield claimed he was feeling much better and refused to take the medicine.

All appeared normal again but Khun Somjit decided to contact her employee and take the rest of the day off to take care of her Husband. She went onto the balcony to clean and heard a loud thud which was her Husband collapsing next to the fridge. She went for help but Mr. Greenfield had already passed-away.

The exact cause of death is unknown and will remain that way until the results of a postmortem examination are received by Police. To assist in the investigation Khun Somjit mentioned that her Husband was a heavy drinker and suffered from Varicose Veins. He would also exercise on a daily basis. The Australian Embassy in Bangkok have been informed and are offering assistance to Mr. Greenfield’s family in Australia at this time.

FFS!!!!!......I missed again on the dead Farang lottery. That's 2 in a row. Another buck down the drain. I had picked the Farang dieing in a bizarre motorcycle/stabbing accident.

Not yet but thinking about it. Last week I placed a bet with my buddy in TL. His guess was a suicide at the local shooting range, Mine was as I stated above. Both wrong. Appears this guy just bought the farm HOWEVER the jury appears to be out at this time. Maybe they will find stab wounds at autopsy.....

My next bet is the infamous shower electrocution, he is betting on the unknown poisoning type death.

Exactly. I carry a few large ones in my wallet everywhere I go, after a neighbor died just outside a restaurant having apparently suffered a heart attack.

Mind you with my luck, I'd forget where the aspirin were, or unable to extract them, or have my wallet pinched while trying and dying.

I think the line between a user and abuser is often skewed to people thinking there are more addicts than there actually are. Evidence suggests that they were not addicts. Addicts would not waste probably what would be at least 5 good IV hits, on snorting the lot up in one hot dose.
