The copper by the bar, with legs slightly akimbo, looks as if he's getting a round in.

Funny thing is if he had sold a few recreational drugs, he'd be looking at a longer stretch than the few years he'll receive for killing another human. He won't do life for murder in Thailand.

you look into his eyes, and to a lesser extent his wifes, even though it is her eyes that are more perfectly captured by the photographer, and try to imagine exactly what is going on in the consciousness of those two as they realise that life will never, ever be the same again, especially for him. it has irrevocably changed, its over, there is no going back, and it has just sunk in.

he is looking off into the middle distance, shock is beginning to hit, his murderous aggression dissipates and passivity takes over as he meekly allows himself to be led away to a lengthy period of humiliation, discipline and incarceration.

i would like to know what the wife is trying to say, she looks to be almost pleading.
    yes...

there is a moment of rage, not being in self-control anymore... who doesnt know that feeling?
never been there? i would guess, most have been... just didnt have a knife handy? lucky you...
one can be grateful, not having gone to the point this guy in the pic is now...

ask him, what he would do, if he could turn back time...

A New Zealand national was allegedly stabbed to death by a Swedish man in the early hours of Tuesday outside a Bar in Soi Diana Inn, Central Pattaya. Police and rescue services were called to the area, in front of the Areca Lodge Hotel and were confronted by an angry mob who claimed to have witnessed the Swede, Mr. Andreas Ringvall aged 40 use a fruit knife to stab Mr. Robert E. Hollick aged 43, twice in his neck. Mr. Hollick was rushed to Hospital but was pronounced dead-on-arrival. Members of the public were able to detain Mr. Ringvall and his Thai Wife, Khun Dow aged 26. She was extremely vocal in defending the actions of her Husband, which she claimed was self-defence. Mr. Ringvall remained silent throughout the initial arrest and questioning later at Pattaya Police Station. A Taxi-Motorbike driver, Khun Muan, witnessed the incident and said that a confrontation between the two men occurred on the street. Khun Dow was allegedly seen to slap the face of Mr. Hollick, while the two men verbally confronted each other. Seconds later Mr. Ringvall was seen to stab Mr. Hollick. Khun Muan and others then rushed Mr. Ringvall and his wife and detained the pair. Khun Supipar aged 47, who works for a Bar close to the scene of the altercation claimed that Mr. Ringvall and his wife were sitting and drinking in her bar before the altercation. Everything appeared normal until Mr. Hollick arrived with his pet dog which caught the attention of Khun Dow who took the dog to her Husband, Mr. Ringvall who disliked the animal and used bad language towards Mr. Hollick. The altercation in the street then occurred. Khun Dow has been married to Mr. Ringvall for 5 years and they previously lived on the Island of Samui in the South of Thailand and had been in Pattaya for only 2 months. She claimed that Mr. Hollick was the aggressor and he was stabbed by Mr. Ringvall out of self defence which she claims would be backed up by security camera footage. Police are now investigating the case further but for now Mr. Ringvall has been charged with murder and his wife is being held pending further investigations.

This was the attitude I was trying to describe in a thread a while back about pathetic and childish quarrels in bars n Pattaya over trivial things.

Whilst the guy was stabbing his victim I bet he felt really manly, but a few minutes later and that look of surprise.....he's already regretted it by the look of him. He'll have plenty of time to reflect on his actions.

As a general rule, drunks go home and pass out or have a few more then pass out. They don't go home and tool up, then go out and stab someone to death.
More to it or the killer is just one bad news bear. Jim

returned to the bar and attacked Hollick with a knife.
    How very Aldhouse-ish.
Let's cheer the murderer and hope he encounters fair winds back to his sanctuary. Where we can snigger and slap each other on the back at his wiley escape and successful murder.

Of course this is tongue-in-cheek. Unless a Briton, where it's honest to fucking god.

    They're savages like that.

The business partner of a New Zealand man says she was "shocked" to hear reports that he had been stabbed to death during a bar fight in Thailand.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Nicky Grant told ONE News that the Ministry is aware of the reports and the New Zealand Embassy in Thailand is in contact with the local authorities.
"Slavery is the daughter of darkness; an ignorant people is the blind instrument of its own destruction; ambition and intrigue take advantage of the credulity and inexperience of men who have no political, economic or civil knowledge. They mistake pure illusion for reality, license for freedom, treason for patriotism, vengeance for justice."-Simón Bolívar

Swede kills Kiwi Man In Drunken Fight Over Dog

A New Zealand man died after being stabbed by a Swede in a drunken bar fight, triggered by the victim’s dog. The Swede’s Thai girlfriend had wanted to play with the dog, but the Swede forbade her. This angered the Kiwi man, so they began fighting.

PATTAYA – 21, 2012 [PDN]; at 1:40 a.m, a report of a man being stabbed in a fight between two foreigners was received by Pol. Maj. Seksan Reuvet, Inspector, Pattaya police station, Chonburi province. He rushed to the scene with the rescue officer of Sawangboribul Pattaya foundation.

The incident occurred in front of a beer bar complex near Alligalordge hotel in Soi Diana near Soi Buakhao Moo 9,Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.

Police arrived at the scene and discovered the victim lying on the ground, surrounded by a crowd of onlookers. He appeared to be a foreigner and was shirtless, wearing only shorts with a small waistbag. There were tattoos all over his body.

The man was unconscious and barely breathing. He had been stabbed twice in the back and once in his neck. He was still bleeding from his wounds.

The police inspected his waistbag and found some cash and a bank credit card identifying him as Mr. Robert E. Hollick, age 43, from New Zealand. The rescue officer performed first aid and rushed him to Pattaya Memorial Hospital, but Mr. Robert later died from his wounds.

Meanwhile, bystanders were restraining the stabbing suspect and his Thai girlfriend for the police. He was identified as Mr. Andreas Ringvall, age 40, from Sweden. His girlfriend was Ms. Dao Pholutsa, age 26, address 54 Moo 10 Tambon Nongtakrong, Amphur Lahansai, Burirum province.

Both of them were drunk and had bloodstains on their clothes. Police recovered the weapon, a 1-foot-long fruit knife that was stained with blood.

When the police initially questioned Mr. Andreas, he refused to say anything. However, his drunken girlfriend Ms. Dao shouted loudly that her husband was beaten first by the other man, so he had to protect himself.

This made the crowd of onlookers angry. They began shouting and scolding the couple, saying that they were the troublemakers who had started the fight.
But Ms.Dao shouted back and scolded the people. They got so angry that fighting near erupted between the two sides. So the police hurried to take the two troublemakers away from the scene to investigate at Pattaya police station.

When arrived at Pattaya police station, Mr. Andreas still refused to talk. So the police asked Ms. Dao about the incident.

Ms. Dao told police that she and her boyfriend had been drinking in the beer bar, when the New Zealander walked in the bar with his dog to also have a drink. They did not know each other, and gave a friendly greeting.

However, the Kiwi man then began arguing with her boyfriend for some unknown reason. She said Mr. Robert then punched her boyfriend in the face, so her boyfriend fought back.

But the staff at the beer bar stopped the fighting and evicted them. So she persuaded her boyfriend to go back home, but they were followed by Mr. Robert, who kept provoking them. Her boyfriend got so angry that he then took out a knife and stabbed Mr. Robert several times.

Ms. Dao said that her husband only stabbed Mr. Robert because he was beaten first, and so he had to protect himself. She asked the police to confirm with the witnesses about who made trouble first.

The police didn’t believe Ms. Dao, so they later asked a witness, Mr. Mual Samat age 34, a motorbikerider-for-hire.

Mr. Mual said that before incident occurred, the couple had been drinking at a beer bar near the incident, when the other foreign man walked in with the dog to drink liquor.

Both parties had greeted each other. Then Ms. Dao saw that the man’s dog was so cute, she asked to play with his dog. But her boyfriend didn’t like the dog, so he scolded Ms. Dao, which angered the owner of the dog. The two men began quarreling and started fighting, until the staff separated them.

Mr. Mual said that the couple left the bar. But they later returned to the beer bar with a knife. Ms. Dao’s boyfriend then fought again with the New Zealander, and used his knife to stab Mr. Robert. The couple then tried to escape, but were restrained by witnesses.

Initially, the police arrested Mr. Andreas with initial charges of killing another person. Ms. Dao was also detained as a witness. Both were sent to the investigation officer to investigate and prosecute further according to the law.

Come now, if he was dark, you lot would be wondering who he robbed.

This same old nonsense get's old.

Really. It's like you're desperate to prove your purity.
Most Brits are the worst sort of scum you ever might encounter. Yet you try to convince everyone else it's someone else committing the crime.

Please spare us your nonsense. Nobody buys it. It's you who are horrible thieves.

Word on the street tonight said the fight started in the "Orn" bar, on soi Diana just opposite the end of Soi LK Metro.

From the photo this seems correct.

Must have continued west towards Areca lodge.

Girl in Jims bar, opposite Areca lodge said "Thai girl started shit over nothing"

That depends if the victims friends pay Thai prisoners to kill him or fuck him up. That's what the plan is for Lee Aldhouse.

I have blatantly stolen this report from a guy I know who posted what he saw on another forum... (Copyright Plakapong, Pattaya Live)

Much commotion this evening around 1am on Soi Diana. Police, emergency services etc etc in attendance by the Areca Lodge.

I witnessed a tall, thin farang wearing a green and white hooped shirt (cannot confirm if it was a football shirt as I was too far away) and a small thai girl wailing like a banshee, being taken away by the police.

There was already a large crowd building, the press were already there taking photos and the police had stopped traffic from entering the soi.

I didn't hang around but by the time I got back the bamboo bongos had done their work.

Apparently another farang was walking along with his small dog when the other guy with the hooped shirt grabbed a knife from a street vendor and slashed at his throat several times, his little thai girlfriend meantime was giving him a good kicking, the guy who had been slashed that is!

I was shocked at the party atmosphere of the Thais, lots of laughing etc and the Diana end of LK almost emptied of folks on their way to have a good rubberneck at the proceedings.
