gent, I think you will find the teacher got mouthy, sean is only a little guy, the teacher has smashed into his car allegedly and then drove off, this obviously would make anybody chase him, if you catch them and they start getting mouthy then things get out of hand, as they did this time, as for punishment, he has probably already served all the time for this crime that he is going to do. Only one statement I should imagine and that is Seans, will the teacher come back to make a statement, I doubt it.

Hmmm some unusual disturbing behavior here by this guy Sean's bar friends, look I am just speculating here so don't kill me OK.

I know there is a quite rough contingent of not very nice fellows in Pattaya who generally hang out the same places, but even those guys normally have a sort of "honor among thieves" and would not cover for such a cowardly disgusting attack.

I wonder if "certain" (false) rumors about the victim was already floating about and punters just waiting for him to get his comeuppance, and any perpetrator of that would be seen as a hero by that primitive lot.

Pattaya is a strange place and tons of shit floats about by the way of gossip like in a womans laundry, a bad lie can very quickly get legs to walk on especially if it is about a TEFL'r.

Anyway good they got the guy now, the stupid arrogance of some of those louts usually gets them in the end, coming back knowing how many knew about him is incredibly stupid.

But something is amiss with immigration cooperation between England and Thailand if all a deported criminal need to do is going home and change his name by "poll deed??" and then you are clean to return with a new passport, that needs to be fixed.

You are now entering into that fantasy world of yours again, Dog. You know the one, it was where you and your eccentric chum Noyes spent so much of your time concocting drivel and distorting reality.

I rather believe the available evidence indicates an entirely different event to the one you have just fabricated. There is no damage to Pickles' hired car and the CCTV footage confirms precisely the opposite to what you are now alleging.

I rather think that creep's associates are scrutinising the family's website with some interest. Adam's condition seems to be improving daily and with that one hopes his powers of speech and recollection will return and he will be able to give his account. Won't that be nice, eh? I'm sure you too will be among the many well wishers, won't you?

Don't think he needs to die for other charges to be pressed. Tinsley may be running into trouble rather than away from it.....

^Dunno, can you imagine the state of the Thai evidence, would it be acceptable in a UK court?

Briton held over Thailand attack that left Yorkshire teacher in coma

    Published on Monday 9 July 2012 06:00

A BRITISH man has been arrested over the attack on Yorkshire teacher Adam Pickles in Thailand.

The man, believed to be in his early 40s and from Wolverhampton, was being questioned by police in Pattaya over the weekend on suspicion of attempted murder and is expected in court today.

It is understood the suspect, named in Thai media as Sean Henry Tinsley, had left the country after the attack four months ago and was arrested at the border as he tried to re-enter Bangkok following a tip-off from UK authorities who knew he was returning to Thailand.

Police are understood to have recovered CCTV footage which shows Tinsley leaving a bar in Pattaya and following Mr Pickles, 40, from Bradford, who had allegedly accidentally “scraped” Tinsley’s car.

The footage appears to show his later return, gloating and re-enacting the crime in front of friends showing how he punched Mr Pickles. He then mimics a person dragging an object or body along.

An international warrant for his arrest was issued by the Thai authorities last week and forwarded to British police.

Mr Pickles, 40, from Keighley, a father of one, remains in a coma at Leeds General Infirmary after he was airlifted back to the UK just over a fortnight ago.

The former teacher at Wakefield’s Cathedral School, who moved to Thailand seven years ago, was attacked as he made his way home from an evening out on May 17. Close friend Katie Jones said the arrest was a huge relief to Mr Pickles’s parents Adele and Andrew, of Thorner, Leeds, who are having to remortgage their home and use their retirement savings to help pay for their son’s Thai hospital bill and repatriation.

Man is held over vicious attack on teacher Adam Pickles in Thailand

7:20am Monday 9th July 2012 in Bradford By Michael Black

    Adam Pickles

A 43-year-old Briton has been arrested on suspicion of carrying out a road rage attack in Thailand which left a Keighley teacher in a coma.

Sean Henry Tinsley has been remanded in custody for the attempted murder of Adam Pickles, 40, after being arrested at Bangkok International Airport.

It is alleged that he attacked Mr Pickles with a wheelbrace after a vehicle incident in which a car was scraped.

Tinsley had left Thailand after the alleged attack on Mr Pickles, a former Bradford Grammar School student, in the resort of Pattaya – 80 miles east of Bangkok.

Tinsley, from Wolverhampton, was arrested on his return late on Friday and remanded in custody on Saturday at Pattaya Provincial Court.

Mr Pickles – who grew up in Riddlesden and is married with a nine- month-old son – is thought to have been attacked following an incident in which he scraped another vehicle while getting out of a parking spot in the resort city.

After six weeks Mr Pickles, the head of English at the Regent’s International School in Pattaya, was brought back home to the UK when a local and international appeal received a massive response for funds.

But the guitar-playing teacher remains in a coma in Leeds General Infirmary. Adam’s parents Andrew, 62, and Adele, 61, had earlier flown to be by his bedside and see their grandson Benjamin for the first time.

Back in Yorkshire, Mrs Pickles said: “We are pleased and relieved at the arrest and we would like to thank the Thai police for their great help, particularly a Lieutenant Colonel Chakring at Banglamuang Police station and his team.

“My husband and I are going through hell daily because of what happened. Our thoughts are with him, his wife, and our nine-month-old grandson.”

Since the incident, police have been studying CCTV footage. Other witnesses have now come forward and given information about the incident outside the Paradise Bar in Soi Khao Noi.

Feelings have been running high in the resort and many organisations have been donating to help Mr Pickles, who formerly taught at the Cathedral School in Wakefield.

On Friday, the Telegraph & Argus revealed how his parents will have to remortgage their home and plunder savings to help cover the costs of his rehabilitation. Mr and Mrs Pickles are taking the financial steps to help pay for the care of their son, nearly two weeks after being flown home from Thailand by specialist air medics.

Adam, 40, suffered a setback this week when the stitches from his original operation became infected and required more surgery.

I hope the guy makes it ok and the prick that did it gets the full weight of the law come down upon him.

What an act, caving someones head in with a tyre lever because he dented his car.

he would have strolled into the insurance office and had it sorted.

Typical thug reaction, thinking he is back home on the mean streets, what a wanker.

The parents of Yorkshire teacher Adam Pickles have spoken of their relief at the arrest of his alleged attacker in Thailand. Andrew and Adele Pickles said they hoped the British man arrested in relation to the assault that nearly killed their son would be kept behind bars until he goes on trial

They have now instructed a legal team in Thailand to deal with the case as it progresses. The arrest came in Bangkok on the same day hundreds attended a Leeds event in aid of Adam, 40, who remains in a coma in the city’s General Infirmary.

“It is a relief to us to know there has been an arrest - we hope and pray that this man is now kept off the streets until the official trial takes place. We do not want any other family to go through the hell we are experiencing," said Adam's mother Adele.

Meanwhile staff at Wakefield’s Cathedral School, where Adam taught between 2001 and 2005, have organised a race night fundraiser that will take place on July 13 from 8.15pm at Thornes Cricket Club, Field Lane.
