Pattaya Drug Dealing Brit-Cum English Teacher Caught

Chonburi police arrested an English teacher, British nationality, a ya-ice dealer. The suspect was arrested in a rental room in Pattaya

PATTAYA – April 22, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Capt. Suphan Jaiharn, Pattaya police and detectives arrested Mr. Steven Palmer age 42, British national working as an English teacher at famous school, Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi.

The police nabbed Mr. Steven Palmer in an undercover operation where ya-ice worth 4,000 THB were supposed to change hands.

The appointment was made in front of the rental room of Mr. Palmer who was arrested with ya-ice contained in a clear plastic bags: weight 17.35 g and three smaller bags weight 0.53g, 1.53g and 1.33g altogether 20.56 g.

The police then searched Mr.Steven’s room # 4, on the 3rd floor of the no name rental room in Soi Bua Khao, central Pattaya, Banglamung and found all of the drugs hidden in a lady’s make up box. The police also found a digital scale and various drug paraphernalia in the room.

Pol. Capt. Suphan Jaiharn, Deputy Inspector said that he knew that Mr. Steven Palmer was an English teacher at Singsamut school and was selling ya-ice to customers in Pattaya.

Mr. Steven Palmer confessed that he teaches English at famous school but during school holidays he didn’t teach and stayed in a house that he had bought in Pattaya.

He bought the ya-ice from a friend in Bangkok, at first he bought only for personal use but later he ran out of money so he had to sell the house and move to a rental room and Mr.Steven started selling ya-ice to beer-bar prostitutes and tourists in Pattaya.

Mr.Steven is charged with sales and consumption of crystal methamphetamine.

He has been detained at Pattaya police station and will to be prosecuted according to the Thai law.

Now if they can just pick up the Brit in Bangkok that is selling tons and tons of steroids to farang body builders. He has been arrested in Thailand several times for dealing weed, stabbing a guy, violent money extortion and fraud. He was deported and supposedly blacklisted for life.. There must be a glitch in the system, as I just saw him delivering some testosterone, dianbol and winstrol to a German guy at the gym. His jaw about hit the floor when he saw me as he knows that I know he is not allowed in Thailand.

He was picked up at Heathrow by the UK police because he did a runner on a conviction there. He supposedly did 2 years there and was released under some sort of court supervision and he skipped on that right back to Thailand.

He must be doing ok. He was wearing his leather biker outfit and rode away on a nice Harley.

I can say very honestly that although I have lived in Thailand almost half my life I have only ever been offered drugs (Marijuana) by one or 2 ladies I had booked out for the night.

I have never been approached on the streets nor in the bars or discos.......nowhere in fact and I wouldn't know where to look.

Desperation seems to open up all the avenues though and those who look will find and normally they will get a lot more then they bargained for.

encroaching on the monopoly of the thai suppliers that service the lower levels of their society cannot be a wise move, the casual mention of this fool, by a customer to her supplier will have the supplier informing the police almost immediately, resulting in an arrest.

Not to be contrary, but its happened to me numerous times on Walking Street and Beach Road, but never anywhere else. No more annoying than the Indian tailors.
