Girlfriend Stabbed Boyfriend to Death then Drank Bleach

A Yasothorn girl stabbed her 26-year old boyfriend in the stomach twice before she drank bleach to kill herself after the boyfriend succumbed to his injuries.

The crime took place at a 6-story apartment in the central Ratchathewi District in Bangkok. Supak Maliwan, 26-year old Yasothorn native, was found dead in apartment room number 109. The police found her dead on the floor, wrapped in a towel, with foam around her mouth. According to the police's preliminary investigation the female victim did not sustain any physical injury on her body.

The room, however, was covered in blood. The investigators then discovered that the victim had stabbed her boyfriend, a 25-year old fellow native from Yasothorn Province, twice in the stomach twice and once again in the chest. The boyfriend was identified as Somchai Changkwien.

The police report indicated that Supak and Somchai fought violently. Neighbours have reportedly heard Supak screamed for help. However, when they rushed in, Somchai was found buried in a pool of blood. He later succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital. Supak was believed to have ingested bleach to commit suicide when she found out Somchai was dead.
