The guys with the weapons worked at the bar so this was about more than Issara dropping his glass. Rich-boy must have seriously offended some of them. Renner of course as an 'Merican actor will think he's mister big-swinging-dick and was probably mouthing off too. Funny he did a runner to leave his rich pal in the thick of it. "Renner the Runner".
Given Issara's daddy is one of the richest jek property developers in Thailand tells me that these guys in the bar are well and truly fucked.

Police Unveil Progress of Pub Stabbing Case
UPDATE : 10 January 2012
Phuket police have charged all eight suspects in a pub stabbing case with attempted murder as they have all reportedly confessed to assaulting the victims with knives and sharp objects.
Commissioner of the Phuket Provincial Police, Police Major General Chanasit Watthanawarangkul revealed their progress in a pub stabbing case after Sri Panwa Hotel executive Worasit Issara, along with Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner, were physically attacked outside the Ratchada Pub in downtown Phuket.
During their initial investigation, officers questioned a total of 20 witnesses to the crime.
Chanasit said that the suspects work as waiters and one as a security guard at the Pub.
As of now, officers are preparing to issue two additional arrest warrants.
They are waiting for the Court's approval.
Consequently, the Phuket police have charged all eight suspects in the case.
He added that all charges and related evidence is expected to be presented before the court within 30 days.
Meanwhile, Chanasit added that he has instructed officers in the province's three main districts to strictly monitor the closing time of nightclubs as a preventive measure against crime.
