Drunk White Guy outside Pattaya 7-Eleven Dies Suddenly


An overweight foreign man of unknown nationality, drank vodka got massively drunk. Fell off the chair and died. Pattaya police assumes that the man succumbed to acute alcohol poisoning combined organ failure or congenital disease.

Pattaya, December 27, 2011[PDN]; Pol. Lt. Col. Attaros Krongrat, Pattaya police station, Chonburi province, was notified about a fat foreigner who was heavily intoxicated but continued drinking until he fell off his chair and died.

The police found the dead body of the foreigner near Natural Park Resort hotel, Soi Jomtien 17, Pattaya. The dead man’s nationality is unknown. Age 40-50, obese, wearing black vest with blue shorts. The hotel staff said, that at 22:00 hrs the locals had notified them than a heavily drunk foreigner was sitting on plastic chair in front of the 7-Eleven store near Soi Jomtien 17 and the Natural Park hotel.



The hotel staff thought he was a hotel customer so they laid him down on a two wheel trolley belonging to the hotel. after they checked he was not their customer. They left him and thought that he will eventually wake up and go home.

Four hours later the drunken guy had still not woken up. He was not breathing. He was dead The police inspected his body and found no trace of violence. The belongings they found on his body were a necklace, a wrist watch and a mobile phone. No identification card or pass port indicating his nationality was found.



The police inspected the are near the 7-Eleven store. And one of the witnesses Mr. Arthit Hareunjak age, 16 said that he saw the foreigner drinking vodka straight from the bottle sitting on a plastic chair. He drank until got severely drunk and he talked and greeted the customers who entered the 7-Eleven. He carried on drinking until he fell off the chair and could not up because he was to drunk and too heavy. Mr.Arthit went to inform the staff of the hotel to assist him because he thought that the man was a customer of the hotel.

The police assumes the cause of death was acute alcohol poisoning or congenital heart disease. They presume he lived nearby. A postmortem will be performed to find the exact cause of his death. The locals in the area will be interrogated in order find out where he lived, his name and nationality before contacting the embassy and the next of kin.

shorts and flops make 100% sense in thailand.
should the poor bloke have dressed in a suit just to please a few farang or hopefully impress a thai or two, on his mission to drink himself to death?
i never understood the animosity towards farang who dress sensibly for the thailand weather.
the criticism i hear of backpackers and farang who wear shorts and tee-shirts comes mostly from the assholes who think the bloody thais (who dress in shorts and tee-shirts and flops and eat dogs and rotten fish, ffs!) are gonna be impressed.
..well, they don't give a fuck and sucking their nobs don't make them think any better of farang, so ditch that suit and wear what the bloody hell you want!
