    Short time visa question

My non imm o expires in 3 weeks.

My original plan was to return to Australia 3 weeks after this expiry and I intended to go and get a 30 day extension to see me through.

It now seems as it will be at least 2 months before I can return to Australia so what are my options?

Get a 30 day extension (can I even get one of those?) and then do a few 14 day visa on arrivals to see me through or is there something else?

I am a 2 hour drive from the chong mek border crossing so border runs aren't too much of a stress although I would rather not do them.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

I thought you were working? If so, you should have a non 'b' and work permit.

I had this experience. Left on a non imm O about a month before it expired. When I returned a week later I got a fresh 90 days bring the last day to about 2 months past the 1 year date. I suspect the 1 year expiration is the last day you can enter and get 90 days. Check it, it is an easy option if true.

Yes that is correct Lorenzo but I have already done that. My 15 months is now fast approaching.

Thanks to Thetyim I think my best option is for a 60 day tourist visa while I sort out a marriage one.

Any experience with getting this from Savanakhet? What about a double 60 day visa?

A friend of mine just got a double 60 from Laos, with 30 day extension on each it is good for 180 days
