Got my 12 month marriage ext today at Udon Imm, only sticking point was my bank letter was 5 days old so I had to get back down the bank for a current one

These seem to be the current requirements at Udon Imm.

Birth certificates Children Original & two copies.

ID wife Original & two copies.

Mine was OS and in English but that wasn't a problem.

Bank book and current letter from bank confirming balance & showing Min of 400k quarantined for 2 months, over seas sourced. Bank book in yr own name.

Neighbor who is prepared to testify they know you.

No, you cannot legally work with any kind of visa, only a Work Permit (completely separate requirements).

Once you get yr ducks in a row, its not so bad and I am told the next time is easier, the bank letter was my fault as I was told a fresh one would be needed but I chanced it and lost.
I have to say I had a lot of sympathy for the bloke processing my application, he was working his bollox off, and still remained civil & cool, even when one asshole was venting at a female employee because " she didn't speak English" fvcking wanker.
When you see some of the trash & the companion slappers that the staff have to deal with, you wonder how they keep their composure.

One year of playing golf sounds good right now.

Seems most Thai Immigration offices have had a recent rocket up the arse.

My mate who has been here 7 years without any probs, has just been told his money was not in the bank long enough.

he is now on a bus to Malaysia for a 3 month stop gap visa.

First time him and his missus have left LOS since he got here.

Someone has a hard on for farang visas and i don't see it getting any better soon.

I am due to face the inquisistion in April and not looking forward to it.

This helps remind me why I don't bother and just leave every 90 days for a holiday.

In any civilized country he should have permanent residence by now.
