What do you want it for.... to take care of the formalities, or to sort out not having the funds seasoned?

Key agent is the one most recommend even thought the Brit owner recently died. Anyone using an agent to get round being potless should be deported.

Maneerat on Soi Post Office are highly rated by long term stayers and expats I know. Never needed to use an Agent myself so I’ve no personal experience with them.

    Good man TC.

Is it still 100 posts to get into Members and The Shiz-House? Another half a decade or so and you'll be in brother.

Any Thai lawyer/visa agent will get the extension you need: the going rate if you cannot meet requirements is around 20,000 bt, if you can but can’t be arsed to do it yourself, around 7,000 bt.

I'm confused,a English bloke just used an agent in Pattaya to get a 1 year visa.
The bit I don't understand he has handed his passport over to immigration for 1 month before they give it back.I have never heard of this before.

    Not necessarily being "potless" .
800 000 Baht (20 000 GBP) in a UK bank would get you 1000 GBP (43 000) Baht a year in interest rate , whilst the money would get you 10 000 Baht / 200 Pounds interest rate in a Thai bank .
Makes financial sense to leave the money in a UK bank and spent 18 000 Baht on a visa

While many resent tieing up money in a Thai bank if you have it to hand always your money , in the event of an accident or calamity accesible easily , I've set up right of attorney with mrs

You can make a Will back in your home Country , so, your Wife getting the money isn't really an advantage

we may agree to differ, widow of Englishman waited almost a year and hospital bills and Pitti for Austrian pal over a million. Of course if you have no heirs no issue.

If you spent 20 years retired in Thailand and you keep the 800 000 Baht in a UK bank , your Mrs would get an extra 500 000 Baht , the accumulated interest amount, thats worth waiting a bit longer for
