Maximizing time in Thailand with entry stamps.

    Hello,

I'm trying to maximize my time in Thailand looking for my best options. I currently hold a USA passport (Under 50 years old) and am in Thailand on a 45 day stamp good until March 18th.

From my understanding the best options is to

Come in on the 45 day stamp (I arrived in Thailand on Feb 2nd 2023)
Do a 30 day extension with immigration for 1900Baht at the end of the 45 days
Do a visa run for 30 more days and then do another visa run for 30 more days.

Am I understanding this correctly? Am I able to do anymore time by flying out of the country after all that?

I'm open to options on staying long term.

Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

I think an education visa is probably the best option if you're not working or married.

I don't know the current rules, but you could only do one visa run by land 3 years ago.

Do an education visa, just pick a language to learn that isn't Thai. I know a lady that studied French and when she did the tests at immi, her teacher checked it and amazingly the lady always passed, though the lady never attended a single class.

Happy to be corrected but I believe it is now 2 border entries per year.

If the OP has the coin maybe an elite visa

As far as I know it's still 2 border crossings a year . Which pissed me of when they done that
It meant I couldn't pop over the friendship bridge from lao to nong khai whenever I felt like it which was what I had been doing for years prior to prayut Chan ochas bullshit. Used to spend a lot of money , shopping , medically, drinking, etc seemed kind of dumb when I was work permitted up in Lao so of course I'm coming back to Lao

You can also get an Education visa to learn Muay Thai or military combat training.
