    Not us plebs.

A number who have had issues with some mods might be juicy targets though. Succumbing to an unfortunate new strain of virus, CORONAFD19B, would be a topical choice.

Hmm, has anyone up top considered what happens on 1st August when tens (hundreds?) of thousands of farangs turn up at immigration; or ftm those who don't will be liable to overstay penalties?

And my extension's due in August, this'll be fun...

My understanding is that you can still do the reporting online as per normal. They just don't want you to visit your local office. That's the way I'll be going next month.

Not claiming to be such a person, but, some suggestions.

    1. IO's pre-checking of document file, whilst in your car. If correct, a queue voucher is given. If more/up to date docs are required, a post dated queue voucher is given. All whilst you sit in your sealed, air conditioned car.

That would turn away the unprepared %.

    2. Go early or later. Within a one week window. No penalties to pay, if late, visa dated from current expiry date, if early.

    3. Utilise an agent

    4. Utilise a runner and wait at home and when 30 minutes - 1 hour from the queue head drive to your IO.Wait in your sealed, air conditioned car until you runner is 5 minutes from the queue head.

    5. Go on 1st August and get "Herd Immunity".

My understanding is that "doesn't have to ..until.." is not the same as "not allowed to .. before.."
The immigration offices are not closed and I'll do my 90-day reporting mid July so I don't get stuck in the Aug 1 queue chaos.

I did my 90 day in the middle of April. I was the only person there other than the IOs. In and out in less than 3 minutes with no words spoken by either of us, he held his hand out, I gave him my passport, he stuck the bit of paper in and handed it back.

90 day reports can be done online or in person

Here in Phuket immigration is open as always for
90 day reports, renewal of 1year extensions, certificate of residency , tm 30, emergency extensions
    etc etc
    few people there
cant see not doing them unless u cant travel

went in Friday for gf 90 day report ( she is on a L-A migrant visa)

JUST because the amnesty is good till August 1st ( ends july 31st)
does not mean you need wait that long to do what you need to do

Never ever perform any Thai officialdom task online.
    Vacant consistency - their history.

.....and rather indifferent towards resolving any such issues.

complete and utter nonsense from a fraud who knows nothing about thailand other than what he copies and pastes.

i've had no problems repeatedly doing the 90 day and TM 30 online.....and i know many others who do the same.

maybe immigration has flagged your portland IP address, jeff.

You may have been successful, I wasn't, which to me means the site is not to be trusted.

This week I might test how long it takes to do a physical 90-day report with a sneezing fit.

    ^ what he said

5+ years - never a problem, TM47 (90-day reports) and TM30 (Report of Foreigner Staying at address)

FYI filed my latest 90 Day Report on Saturday May 9 (Pending) - accepted on Tuesday May 12, Monday May 11 was plowing day holiday.

So, the computer filing system (IO on-line services) is operating as normal.

I popped along to my local IO this past week. More staff than customers. Quick & easy. In & out in a couple of minutes

    I'm amazed at your fortitude.

More than one year here and I start articulating my thoughts aloud about their stupidity and general idiocy - in fact having to wear a mask has helped in this 'venting' and freed me to engage in a more forthright manner which has been quite satisfying.

Christ, twelve years in succession. That's a fucking prison sentence. I simply cannot conceive of such an existence. Do you drink a lot?
