    A CW Morning

I renewed my retirement visa today. The following satisfied the paper hungry sloths until they eventually pooped out my freshly stamped passport:

    1. Copy of updated bankbook (all pages and signed).
    2. Affirmation of account ownership certificate (Bangkok Bank in my case=B100...branch downstairs at CW).
    3. Printout of previous 3 months from passbook showing at least B800K (BBK=B100...branch downstairs at CW).
(Both the above must be obtained on the same day as the visa renewal request).
    4. Completed TM7 form.
    5. Copy of relevant passport pages and TM6 card (signed).
    6. Copy of TM30 form (signed).
    7. A variety of FYI forms for signing/map drawing passed out to members of the waiting crowd who wanted visa renewals.

Question: Do I present bank info at my next 90-day? Response: shrug and "Ask Ae". I fled.
Majestically enthroned amid the vulgar herd

I’ve had permanent residence sine 2003.

I have to report to the police every five years, or whenever I change residence to another province. If I travel internationally, I need a reentry permit, which unfortunately is only issued as single entry or one year multi entry. My only gripe is that I wish that they would issue five year multiple entry reentry permits. Other than that life is painless compared to what I hear most other foreigners have to do.

If they qualify, I strongly recommend that people try to get Thai PR (or citizenship) if they expect to stay in Thailand for extended periods of time.
