Being younger than some of you and not in receipt of the UK state pension, I've always used the above route. Is this still available? Thanks for any info, Chas.

Dragonfly gave me a red for asking a question! What a coont.
The fly is a very angry little Belgium waffle flipper,
He is a 90 degree receiver and talks a load of shit on Brexit and pc threads.
Sorry Chasa
fish is the only bot available to deal with your question....
Luigi will be along shortly.

Think you'll find Charley that in the absence of an Embassy letter, for the 'combo' method, you'll need to show monthly transfers/income to your Thai bank account, of the amount necessary to bring the total (bank plus income) to whatever method you're using (Marriage/400K, Retirement 800K). Probably best to speak to whichever office that you use for more specific advice.
Although using monthly bank transfers in lieu of letters in this period of change, and Immigration offices have been told to use 'leniency' (i.e. not requiring the full 12 months history of transfers that future applications will require), there are reports of some offices failing to do this, and demanding the full 12 months history. Again, best to check with your local IO.
Thanks very much for the replies and greens!
The best advice. Always check local office for transactions with any gov entity.
I did and office here will accept last year "average monthly" bank transfers of 65k baht.
Year total ÷ 12 = 65k or more.
All a bunch of bureaucratic crap but to be expected with govs world wide.

Logic says yes, however best to confirm with the actual office to be used before submitting the application.
