    Edu visa (legit)

I'm trying to help out a friend with some info.

He's interested in the Delta course through International House in Chiang Mai.

If my friend (USA citizen) were to sign up and attend, would the org typically be able to supply/assist him with an Edu visa for the duration of the course?
I believe it runs 4 months or thereabouts.

What about his wife's visa status? Could she also be helped or otherwise advised? She has a passport from Argentina.

Thanks for any experiences or insights.

    VISAS

The school will assist the student with an ED Visa if necessary. The letter of recommendation will be given to the student once all fees have been paid. If the student is studying for less than 3 months, we recommend that the student applies for a 60 day tourist visa, which can be extended by an additional 30 days for a total of 90 days.

Although rare, if the student is denied an ED Visa we will refund course fees (minus any administrative costs associated with applying for the ED Visa). We will also work with the student to think of other possible options to study without an ED Visa.

Hopefully the mods will delete the whole damn thing.

    But, cheers Nev.

I did mine over the course of an academic year (9 months for the three modules) and I've often wondered how they'd manage to cram this into the intensive 2 month option.

Thankfully, they don't, according to a link on the site. It's just module 2 that's assessed, so your friend would still have to do the exam and extended assignment after the IH course has finished.

It's still a lot to fit in though and his wife is gonna be pretty bored while he's doing 10 hour days 6 or 7 days a week.

Aha. So there are options re: intensive or something more doable.

    Thanks! Fwd'ing...
