    Cheers Barty.

Was wondering if the Thai government treated you as a Thai citizen or not.

I am registered on the app as a Thai citizen. It will be interesting to see the reaction of the medical staff when I front up to the hospital.

I'll let you all know if my 5G reception improves after the second shot.

I haven't tried to get the vaccine but should be the same as other Thais.
Barty, which app did you register on?

    It was organised by my wife, but I believe this is the app that she used;

    https://www.ไทยร่วมใจ.com/

You will need a Bangkok address to use it.

    ^^

    Thanks mate.

Any idea which vaccine they are going to give?

I actually have a Bangkok address still on my ID card. If it is a decent vaccine, I can easily make a trip.

Ok. I am actually registered in Khon Kaen too but not until October.

I might just wait as although my ID card is a Bkk address, it might show on the computer that I am on the housebook in KK.

Got my first jab of the Astrazeneca earlier today. Wife, sister in-law and I fronted up to Thanya Park on Srinagarindra at about 16:30 and we were back in the car well before 19:00. Very well organized, and absolutely no issue with me being a farang with Thai citizenship. We had to wait for 30 minutes before leaving to show that we did have any adverse reaction. While waiting we all got an SMS message confirming the appointment for the next job three months from now.

It’s pretty straight forward. First you will receive a registered letter stating that need to go to the special branch and pick up a set of documents from them. This will include the document showing your naturalization, a copy of the document that shows your name as it was published in the royal gazette and a letter stating that your name has published in the royal gazette. The special branch police will explain what you have to do with all the documents. I seem to recall that there was a letter laying out what the procedures are.

Make plenty of copies of all of the documents that you got from special branch as well as more copies of other documents that Thai government departments typical expect, ie. current passport, old passports, work permit etc.

After that go to Or Ror Tor first to enter your name or change your nationality into the Tabien Baan book, and then go to the Ampur to get the Thai ID card.

I managed to change the nationality in my Tabien Baan, get the ID card and get a Thai passport in one day.

Once you are done, you will need to return all of your “alien documents” to their respective government departs, work permit to the Labour department, white PR book to immigration, red PR book to the local Police etc.

Further to the above, I also seem to recall that they wanted to know my blood type. I just checked my ID card and it doesn't show blood type, but it maybe something that is on the chip. Surprisingly it does show my religion, which I didn't realise or expect to be there.

Got a text from the ThaiRuamJai app earlier today confirming that I have an appointment for the 2nd jab on the 4th of next month, two weeks ahead of the original schedule. It will have been ten weeks between the two shots.
