I did mine today. I still haven't seen anyone confirming its acceptance. But it's early days as it only started 7 days ago.

I tried online last night, no dice. Went to Big C Lad Phrao today, there was exactly one person ahead of me in the queue, in and out in about 5 minutes.
Why? I'm not computer literate but it was quite easy in practice.Originally Posted by CSFFan

That is GREAT NEWZ!!,
This means of all the topics about 90 day reporting online that I could find on the inter-web a total of TWO people have actually received "Approved" status. For all I know it could be the same person posting on two forums!
I called the ICT division at Chaengwattana this morning, to talk to the staff about the glitches which are popping up for people without rhyme or reason. Also to ask about their asinine choice of nationality in the drop down; "American", versus USA.
I mean christ, they have the vatican; "The Holy See/วาติกัน", two different Refuge choices, Christmas Islands, and a bunch of places I've never heard of like where is Utopia? <- is that even a real place? Then again I'm a hill billy and not all that book smart.
I'm surprised they didn't have Falang, Farang, Farlung, (insert your spelling of ฝรั่ง) as a frickin' choice for us!
I also wanted to know if they could track how many people tried to report versus how many reports were "accepted for processing"..
Sadly, they're in a big-wig meeting and my contact was unavailable.. I'll try again later.. I did call the people who wrote the user manual and asked why it was ONLY in thai seeing as thaiz don't do 90 day reports. After being shuffled from person to person, asking the same question they finally hung up on me... I'll keep after it though...
Great news though Pragmatic!

Surprisingly, my contact at the ICT division of Chaengwattana called me back when she got out of her meeting.
She said, they did realize the user manual needed to be written in English <- (well spotted) and that they're "working on it"..
I did mention the drop down choice for people from the USA pretty much needed to say USA. She asked me what it said, and I jokingly told her, 'white buffalo', she laughed so hard I thought she was gonna drop the phone!
She also said a notice went out to every immigrations office in the country that foreigners could now do their 90 day reports online.
However (being a nosy prick), I made a few quick calls to some of the more persnickety troublesome places I have in my file of "troublesome Immigrations offices" scattered around the country.
I found out they are NOT taking this information to heart!!.. Two places said to me without any hesitation, IF I did a 90 day report online I might "have a problem" when I went to their office for further stuff.. That in and of itself is totally un-redeeming.
Anyway, that's all I got...

^ I like "American" better for those drop down thingies, because I don't have to scroll all the way to the end and sift through all those countries.
Was one of the troublesome offices Chiang Mai?
also Loei office in Chiang Khan is a rule to its own No postal accepted, income letters only one month, NOT 6, so online not a chance in hell!!
It's a nation wide thing and ALL offices have been instructed to accept. I thought Kap Choeng would dig their heels in but no. They processed mine in about an hour and a half.Originally Posted by mykthemin

IF I were a betting man (which I'm not)
I'd wager this is being done as a centralized thing and the big changes they did about the middle of last year which finally linked all immigrations offices and all border crossings together, via some mysterious and evidently new thing in thailand called the world wide web, aka; the internet, was in preparation for this roll out..
Entering your passport number on a terminal at Chaengwattana (even in the 90 day reporting area which used to have its own data base); shows name, previous passport number (if any), age, sex, country of orgasm, errr origin, type of extension of stay, permitted to stay until, quite a few of the last exits/entries into the kingdom, last time you did a 90 day report, any overstays, fines for late reporting etc.
I highly doubt that the local offices have ANYTHING to do with this online 90 day reporting.
I called six of the problem offices again today (as I said before, just because I'm a nosy prick). LOW AND BEHOLD, will wonderz never cease? Every single one of the offices I and asked if I could do my 90 day report by the internet said, "CAN!!!" Even the two which alluded to future problems were on board with the 90 day via the internet now...
It would appear in talkin' to the ICT division that the error messages that people are getting is due to them not putting the information in exactly as Immigrations has it in their data base.. Currently there is no way for someone to check how your information was entered.
Funny you said that misskit, the immigrations officer also pointed out how it was "higher up the list" and easier to find too.. I just re-checked the list of countries closer and they have East Germany listed in the drop down!! I mean when did they buy that list 'o countries?
I did find it so typically thai that on the main page for the 90 day online it says Office Contract : Contract Immigration, which directs you to a way to contact immigrations... The good thing is it is an excel sheet with the current phone numbers of all the immigrations offices in the country on it!
Mine came back with this on. I believe it's from 'Kap Choeng Surin'?Originally Posted by toddaniels

The nationality for someone born in the USA is American. The form is correct, you're just used to choosing your country of origin.
Is that what they got their secretary to tell you?Originally Posted by toddaniels

Was told could be done on the inet in future.
You're lucky Mr Norton. I do a similar distance journey to the Kap Choeng office on route 24 and it's a fooking nightmare. Single lane, no dual carriageway, and heavily laden with overloaded lorries. Thanks to the cookie that thought up the new reporting rule. I only have to risk my life just once a year now.
Where are you coming from? I take another route from Sangkha straight in to Kap Choeng and it cuts the trip time in half.Originally Posted by Pragmatic

Pragmatic; that does say "Sub-Inspector" which I take is not a submarine inspector seeing as thailand has no subs but does have a nifty submarine base...

Now, because it has no name on it, maybe we should wait until some people actually start posting their info too. It is not beyond the realm of logic that depending on the address you enter, that the default response is the immigrations office you are required to go to.
Conversely you could look at the email headers and see where it bounced to you from. Although I don't know if it would show the difference between Bangkok and Surin.
Still when talkin' to the offices today and asking about the 90 day online program, NOT a single one said, "Funny you should ask, we're processing online applications right now!"
