    Change in Land Border Visa Exempt Rules (for some countries)

    This was "ripped" shamelessly from another website;

    Royal Thai Immigration Bureau has confirmed that holders of passports of UK, USA, Japan, Germany, France, Canada and Italy are since November 1, 2013 given 30 days at land borders instead of previously only 15 days.
    Reports from other posters have born out that it is indeed true!

    Note 2 Modz: if you feel this would be better in the sticky thread at the top of this forum or some where else, please feel free to move it!

    Japanese, Germans and Eyeties being invited to do in peacetime what they couldn't do in "ze war".

    I say, that's a bit rum.

    Looks like only the G7 countries made the cut..... wonder what that's all about?

    I can under them not granting it to Aussies, Nigerians, Russians, and people like that....

    That is good news and could have saved me a fair bit if I had known about it... Had 10 weeks off this time in-between offshore trips and that has included an overnighter in PP and a 3 days trip just last week to Angeles for 30 day visa runs.. Pleasant little jollies anyway but in future I will probably opt to save a few quid and do a land border run.
